First of all, the guy before me has no clue (no offense). Pure paintball is not a field. It is just a store a guy runs out of his basement because before him there was nowhere to get quality or brand name gear in the city. It was mainly opened up for the use of our team (explicit) but has rapidly moved through the city through word of mouth and the owner, albert, does tons of business and is always willing to lend a helping hand when trying to decide what to buy. He has fair prices, (cheapest CO2 and now HPA fills in town) and good paint for way cheaper than the horrible stuff sold at the chain stores or at slopball. As for the field on the hill, our field was built by us and everyone is welcome to play on it for free, with or without us. It is the closest we could come to an actual speedball field without paying for flat land.
Slopball is in no way connected, affiliated, or associated with Pure Paintball. Slopball is simply a poorly run field with bad management, high prices, terrible service, and unknowledgable staff.
If are in Fort McMurray and you want to buy some good gear at decent prices (of course you'll be able to get it cheaper on the internet, but if you buy from albert he will be more than happy to help you with any problems you have with your stuff, for example if you bought it from him and it breaks, he will fix it) then go to Pure Paintball. Albert, Alex, Brent, or myself Shaun will be more than happy to help you out with more information about just about any marker or accessory you could ever want. If you want some good playing tips or want to practice with some people with real tournament experience (9th place Canadian National Speedball Championships Rookie Div) we are always available to play. Just call albert at 791-5101.
Since this review is for Pure Paintball, that is what my score is based on.
Is that guy still selling cause that would make two of us now in abasand lol. I just got started and kinda small right now. More interested in promoting the sport really. Operating under the registered trade name of 300fps Extreme and I'm working on the pricing. Sucks we don't have an indoor facility here but maybe later on if the cash flow improves. Contact me through here if ya need something and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Hey do any of you know when XCaliber in Boyle shuts down for the winter? And who is the current owner of that land that slopball is on?
