Review:
It hrts me to write this, the Hueston woods club is prett dear to me, I was there opening day, and frequented it for about a year. I was out of the countr for a while, and since I have been back a few times. So here is what I have to say:
The Good:
*Nice target range
*Good covered staging area
*a number of very nice regulars
The Bad:
*The refs are terrible, people are right that you must chase them out of the clubhouse, you do, every game, than the are pissed when you do. All the think and talk about is their team, their guns, and women.
* If you go during a team practice day good luck getting more than 5 games in 8 hours (and the games are ver short)
*there are usually only a few walk on players there
*the paint is a bit pricy
*the refs are rude and don't do their job
*one small field, very overplayed
Dispute: the refs are the best around, the paint may be a bit expensive but it is a good quality, and most of the people there are to cetainly walk ons, before you write a bad review go there on days when they dont have team practices.
A good team needs to practice, you can e-mail them or call to find out what days the practices are on.
the refs and houston are terrible... sorry. They are good guys and I like them but I have played at houston woods a dozen times I run there too so I've watched a ton of games waiting to go home.
I have never ONCE seen a ref on the field more than the start of the game and 75% of the time the refs start the game from off the field.
