it was at the tournament the 14 man it was a mess,.,. the ref's were very much local orientated..if you know what i mean 50 teams and this field was so disorganized it was terrable i was ashamed to be associated with paintball,,, you see i took some newbies and parents up to gateway and we were there at 8.00 and we did not play 1 game until 1;30 everyone was so upset i think money should have been refunded because it was a disaster and i guarantee there will be more on this tournament there was a black guy in the trailer selling hot soda and nothing much else they made 15,000 dollars this day and they even took away the other prizes from the novice division geez how cheap these guy's did for painball tournaments what manson ,.,.,.charles did for peace and harmony if you get my drift needless to say my new team and there parents were pissed and they said no more i tried and said there not all like this but you should have seen the look terrable on you ..,,.,.,. gateway paintbal l you need to regroup mike
I agree that they needed to regroup, but cut them some slack. They were relying on a computer program to set up who played who, and the program crashed on them. Eric(owner) had to run to and from the field to the store to get things set-up. They split up the 50 teams into 5 divisions, and they played out each division before starting the next one. My team did not get to play our first game till 4:00PM (Watchmen B), and we had been there sense 7:30AM. Once they get the schedule figured out, everything ran smoothly.
As far as refreshments/food, they only sell soda and chips anyother time, they also planed on having someone to bring food, but they pulled out at the last minute. And yes they did pull the prizes for the novice division BECAUSE THERE WAS NO NOVICE DIVISION! only 2 teams had signed up for novice, so they just doubled the rookie. They were not able to finish the tourney due to daylight running out, they will run the finals first thing at the start of the next one. Please come back for the next one, everything will run alot smoother next time. I agree, if this was your first time at Gateway it was a bad representaion of it, please give them another try. You will come to realize that it is a great place to play and improve your skills at.

You SHOULD NOT judge a field by what one person did on it. If you would have played anyone else out there at the time, you would find that their guns crononed just fine. Are you trying to tell me in the time that you have played paintball, since you are experienced, you have never came up against another person who might have had their gun shooting hot? 331 is not that bad to others that I have seen....
And as far as the tournament goes, I know what ya mean man, it was a real mess, but they did their best to try to fix up their mistakes, they also gave a discount into the next tourney for the teams that were in the last. The last tournament May 16th ran quite well, with finals wrapping up before 3 pm. So you might wanna give them another try at the next one on July 25th.
