First coast paintball - a little bit more expensive, but much better service and a better operation
All American paintball - kinda expensive, rental gear is low quality (cheap rebels), woods course is weak, however, REALLY fun assault course, nice speedball course. Great service.
Review: I've only had one trip to this facility and that'll be my last. Though they have a great area to play in, and several very good courses, they are very weak on the operational side of the game.

The office area and staging area aren't anything to look at, they are very functional with lots of high tables to leave your gear on and work on your gun. I've never been to a place with as much counter space as PB Adventures, I found it extremely helpful to have it.

They don't have a chrono station, you have to hunt down their hand held job. A chrono station was something I thought every field would have for safety reasons. I don't even know if they chrono their rental guns.

The refs were too young. Of all the people working there on this day, three didn't appear to be over 15 years old and there was only one adult, he didn't do much. I've seen many places that use younger kids to run the show, but these kids couldn't hack it. Two of the kids were refs and they seemed little interested in starting games. Of the four games i played (in FIVE hours) I had to prompt the refs three times. Otherwise people just sat around waiting. Had it not been for myself and some other motivated players, I don't know if we would have played at all.

Safety was also something that appeared to be completely alien to this operation. At First Coast Paintball they made it very clear that you would wear your mask on the field, you would chrono you gun, and you would have a barrel plug installed in the staging area. There was no such safety brief at PB Adventures. There were no signs that I remember seeing about barrel plugs or masks.

First Coast Paintball is a bit of a drive but I think they're worth it. I wouldn't go back to PB adventures unless they got their act together (and gave me a coupon or two). Great potential here, just a lack of effort.
