Pine river is a great place to play for experienced or beginning players. Jan and his family do a great job of making the day fun. They do an excellent job of refing all the games and sometimes his boys will play to keep the teams even. Prices are very reasonable for everything. It has been 2 years since I played there and it sounds like he is making improvements all the time.
the field is fairly open woods with lots of large trees to hide behind. A steep ridge runs through the length of the field and holding it is the tactical advantage. The river makes a great boundry.
The cabin and bridge are a blast and the speedball course is well built. All in all I've always had a great time there. Make sure you inquire about playing "The Watermelon" game, its fun and tasty (as long as you don't drop the melon!)
