The field is extremely hilly which makes for choke points when trying to move to new positions. Maybe this explains the lack of player movement on the field (though I suspect they were mostly new players).
The reffing was very poor with the refs just parking themselves on the edge of the field of play and just watching.
In fact I got so discouraged at the general poor level of play that I just left in disgust.
Dispute: Due to the fact the fields were "hilly" was just one reason why Close Encounters Paintball USA moved on to "flatter" playing fields. Now, at our 15112 Sierra Highway, Santa Clarita location, there are no ridges for the refs to park their carcasses on. Instead they actually have to stay on the fields and follow the games. Amazing! Our prices have decreased due to the recession, specially if you pick up a discount pass. Cases of 2,000 paintballs are only $50 tax included if you call in before coming to play. Overall, we feel much improvement has been made over the years at Paintball USA and our customers let us know how awesome their playing experience was.
Your prices have not decreased. You tried to charge me $30 even though I didn't need any air. Your "discount" pass says you HAVE to buy paint from your field which is sold at ridiculous prices, not 50 bucks.
