Nitro, less organized, less emphasis on safety and chronoing markers
Review:
Arkenstone is a very well run and organized paintball experience. Right from parking to final checkout. There are several refs for each game. Special attention is given to all safety precautions. The rules are fully explained with emphais on being fair and following the rules. The refs are second to none. Then everyone is chronoed to the max of 280fps. Yes, using their paint is a little more expensive but that is overly compensated for the organization, safety, rules and the field. The field is second to non wether you play woodsball, speedball or scenerioball. Go for a full day and you will play on each of these fields. You won't be disappointed. The only drawback was a ref who was playing that day with us. He bent the rules that came close to cheating. He pretented to be a newbee that was marked and forgot to put his plug in. We all thought a playing ref would go the extra step to uphold the paintball fairness standards. He threaten to shoot us if we 'deadmen' on the sidelines said anything. Oh well, some guys want to win a game at any cost. All in All, this is a top notch organization and you will be safe and enjoy yourself immensely!!
well, i must say that i am a little confused. i'm the only ref that played on sunday, and i don't remember any of that stuff happening. i played in five games. two mounds, two dodge speed, and one regular dodge game. in the regular dodge game, i was out before i took a shot. in the speedball game, i sat in the back and shot bunkers while my team moved. i did the same thing at mounds. i mean, i only killed three people. if i was cheating, i'm a terrible cheater.
also, i never said anything to the dead men. i'm not saying that someone didn't say that, i just think you have me confused with someone else. also, i never pretended to be a newbie, i changed out of my ref's shirt into my playing shirt in plain view of the staging area. i actually talked to several of the players while i was doing it. also, my equipment does not look like a newbs eqiupment. that along with the fact that i spent a good portion of my time talking with the experienced players and the rest of it instructing newbs should have given away that i was not a newb. i never pretended to be anything i'm not.
i apologize if something i did caused your time at arkenstone to be less fun. please don't stay away because of me. as a matter of fact, leave me a private message on here with your name, and next time you come to Arkenstone, i'll buy you a bag of paint to make up for it.
Hey its Derek! Anyways I hope he wasn't talking about me. I've never pretended to be a newbee and never pretended I was hit. I did walk up the sidelines twice, with my gun down, and was ignored by the rest of the teams. I never threatend to shoot anyone on the sidelines and the most I said to someone was, "Hey watch this." Also I don't care about winning, just about playing. I did that twice and only took out 3 people like that. I do it to teach the newer players a lesson because someone else will do it and will put 10 paintballs into your back...I only put 1.
I'm the guy with the Phantom who's not Kenny. Also I just read your comment about buying a bag of paint...I'm pissed off too at you. You made my time at Arkenstone miserable....now where's my bag of paint? :P
