First off, this field is pretty decent right now and it's getting better. One thing that annoys me is that they always say that fields are coming for sure and then the fields never come. Hyperball... I see the pipes all over, lets get the damn things set up. They've been talking about an indoor field forever, they are finally getting the ball rolling (flying?) on this though, according to the ithaca journal article. The speakers that are wired up all over the complex is a nice touch. The spontaneous power outages that occur due to the generator running out of gas are a little annoying, but what can you do about that besides complain to the electric company to get some lines up there. A permanent port-a-jon would be nice. It's no biggie for us guys to go use a tree, but girls might have a harder time at that. Not to mention if good ol' #2 rears it's ugly head. The foot-long hot dogs are cool, as is the gatorade and soda. Sup air ball is plenty big for me. I have no experience with other (bigger) fields but I have a lot of fun in this one. Woods is very elaborately set up with castles and bunkers and stuff like that. Very fun. It's kinda annoying how the regulars sometimes decide that the safety rules don't apply to them. One volunteer/ref/regular hit me with what I was sure was a hot gun and when I questioned him he got angry and told me he'd prove me wrong, so we went to the chrono and guess what... 325fps. He then exclaimed that his guns never ran hot. He apologized to me 1000 times afterwards however and I'm sure he won't make that mistake again. One thing that happens that is bad for some workers, but funny to the rest of us is that the places where the workers park their cars gets bombarded with stray paintballs when they hit a certain air bunker just right. Perhaps this is a sign that maybe the entrance to the staging tents should be netted just in case a random stray gets past the netting on the field. I noticed that there are lights on the speedball field, yet I don't see anything advertised as far as night games. I don't know about anyone else, but Friday night games under the lights would be supda cool. Maybe they're for leagues or something.
Hey just a comment to add on or conclude yours.. That was a friend that was shooting hot. In the morning i watched him chrono, he was shooting at 279 exactly for 3 shots. On guns with ramping, such as his ion, the speed goes up as you shoot. So now when he comes we chrono him originally and have him shoot a tank thru, then chrono him again so this problem won't occur again, sorry for the problems. Please come back whenever you wish i'm sure there will be no problems then! hope you had a great time otherwise.
P.S. we all chrono our guns before playing.
As per night games. We are starting friday night happy hour under the lights make sure to watch the website for schedueling. there will also be leauge. This will prolly be on thursday.
