Hit & Run Paintball - Okay if you like indoor action and overpriced paint ($80+ case *ouch*)
Portland Paintball - Great indoor airball field but they run a league so there are a few prima-donnas. Not a field for a NooB.
Review:
The first time I actually played at this field it was raining, but the action was intense from the word go, so you didn't even notice. Especially when we were playing in the woods where the tree canopy kept you covered. The field is outdoor and BIG, with lots of places to setup and shoot from.
Play varies from basic elimination to woodsball to attack and defend. There is a 3 level fort at one end of the field with lots of places to shoot from. As of the 1st there were plans to add another fort at the opposit end of the field to play something like "Unreal Tournament" style capture the flag.
The number of players varies from week to week so call ahead to see what is going on. The field owner is a player so he is not trying to get rich on the paint with 3 grades starting at $45 and tournament grade at $65 for a case. This is the place for a NooB to fall in love with the game.
All in all this is the only place for a person in the McMinnville area to play. It is only 20 minutes away, and it won't break your bank account when you get there. Check it out...you won't be dissapointed.
