Being the only field in the area, it's one that I'll be returning to. If there were other options, I'd definately try them though.
The paint isn't a rip off ($60 for proball platinum) and entrance is cheap ($15), but you get what you pay for.
The local team was playing there and thought it would be fun to play all the amateurs. So it was 8 of them vs 7 strangers. I'm sure you can guess the outcome. Instead of trying to help and teach the amateurs, they enjoyed the ego boosting. After a couple games of that, they decided to take a break.
The rest of the day was 4v4 or 3v3, and it was a lot of fun then. The ref was nowhere to be seen, but he wasn't that needed since it was a good group of people at the field now and we were all honest.
The scenario field was neat with the overturned beetles and pipes, but it was overrun with foxtails. They were annoying by the end of the day, getting stuck in pants and socks (and your shirt anytime you crawled).
Minefields is a good place if there are good people there. It's quite remote and there aren't too many avid paintballers around here, but it's the only place to go so there is a fair chance you can find a good game there. |
