Ok to start with I am a little biased towards this field. I started playing paintball at this field many years ago.
The field has gone through a lot of changes over the years, and the people who run it now are nice. They treat me pretty well, but I am a fairly familiar face around there, but mabye not as familar as Andy and his son. The staff is fairly slow in the proshop and getitng stuff done can take some time.
As for the fields, well the woods suck I hate it. If you want to play woods ball go to Paintball Atlanta(will cost ya an arm and a leg) or Carnage(annoying refs that are immature 13 yr olds). The hyperball and speedball are not what they used to be, but are nothing terrible.
The refs are ok, but can be slow sometimes; esspecially the younger highschool refs, but the older ref is excellent. Everthing in his mind is run on the players time not the refs since we are the paying patrons of the business.
As for little annoying kids yea there are alot of them. I usually dont hate on younger paintball players because i remeber when i was 12, but sometimes kids nowadays blow me away with how stupid they can be. One kid in the woods allways goes out of bounds and shoots people and he is there almost everytime I play there.
But overall the field isnt terrible and i have played much worse
This field is still changing, Eddie has added a hooded "car port" over most of the tables, and he is in the process of looking at getting another one for the rest of the tables.
There have been some negative things stated about Wildfire in previous posts, I have reffed for Eddie for over 7 years, and he is very interested in what people think. If you have a problem Email him at wild@akorn.net. label it and keep it professional.
Now for the changes besides the car port , Wildfire has a sup air field , they are working on a new woods field.... The reason Wildfire was not able to do alot to the woods fields is because they are on a year to year lease , WIldfire never knew from one year to the other if the person that owns the land would beable to renew the lease , so it is very hard for a business man to put in alot of money on something he does not know if he will be there in 12 months. That has been worked out ... so sometime soon there will be 2 wooded fields to play on not just one.
I like this field I do not know of very many other fields in the area that will allow you to bring your own paint .... I also refuse to put down other fields in the area unlike some other fields employees who feel they have to put down every competitor. Again if you have a problem email the owner at wild@akorn.net. if you have a problem with a reff get a name , and tell the owner what you like and what you dislike , he is there to keep improving his fields
