My first experience playing paintball was with this field, and I have only ever played at one other field, which compared to Skirmish Hampshire, isn't even worth naming (even if I could remember its name...)
Greeted at the beginning of the day warmly by friendly staff, made even warmer by the complimentary tea and coffee for free! We were quickly signed in and kitted up with all our clothing equipment; coveralls, hoods, and googles (that were actually comfortable!). They also provided body armour, once again for free, for women and children that were also playing.
Not long after, we were taken to the mornings "safe area", where we were sitted in a roomy environment for a short while, whilst listening to one of the safety marshalls giving us a short speech as to what they expected from us, and what we could expect from them. The safety points were delivered understandably, clearly, and at points with humour, giving it a joy to listen to, rather than a chore.
All very excited after this, we couldn't wait to start shooting people!
We had 5 games in the morning, all very enjoyable and different in terms of tasks, keeping the games fresh and of good variety. We then went back to the main building which we were signed in in the morning, and had a nice lunch, a whole pig roast, which was delicious to say the least!
In the afternoon, we played another 5 games, once again all original and of good variety, keeping us pleased with different tasks to complete, instead of getting bored with the same scenarios.
The safety marshalls were excellent throughout the day, giving clear instructions, and answering any questions in a friendly manner.
At the end of the day, and it came to pay for our itchy trigger happy fingers, the shock to the wallet wasn't as bad as expected! An added bonus was that this year (2005) is an anniversary year for them, and to celebrate they have £10 off all packages! Great value for money.
Overall, a fantastic paintball field, that I will definately be returning to in the very near future. I could happily recommend this site to any of my friends.
