zcrotum Wednesday, June 22nd, 2005 Period of Field Use: More than 5 years Last There: N/A Paintball Experience: More than 5 years Other Fields in the Area: santa clara= cannot compare to bear creek also at bear creek u can use any paint that is not pink or red fill (no zap allowed at sc) Review: bear creek is great for recreational paintball. the refs are nice, there are plenty on the field, they give a much better and more comprehensive orientation, refs are well-experienced and is much safer than santa clara. i like the idea of chronoing before everygame. this takes time but makes me feel much safer on the field knowing that most everyone is under the fps limit, unlike santa clara where it is very easy to slide by the chronos. i like how the set up the field. its huge, with natural bunkers and man made bunkers. another thing that puts bear creek way farther out than santa clara is mission games. at bear creek its not jus the same elimination, at bear creek u can play ctf etc. over all bear creek is a very good field for recreational play or for more advanced play. If u have a choice of santa clara or bear creek, choose the field with better refs and more safety, Bear Creek.
