Hi, I am thinking about going to Skirmish for the reanactment of the battle of Normandy. The only problem is i dont have a lot of money. I just want to know about how many boxes of paint do you really need. I know someone is gonna say it all depends (because it really does), but i wud like to know on average how many boxes people buy.
ok thanks...
You might have better luck posting your question on a forum, like the North East on this sites forms. You can also try www.pbnation.com, they have a forum dedicated to scenario talk.
How many boxes of paint should you bring? How much do you shoot and how much do you chase action? I can go with my phantom and play 24 hours of fun paintball on 1500 rounds.
In a scenario game like Invasion of Normady, you can do anything you want. You can go out on your own and stalk people, you can get with huge forces and attack major bases, you can be part of missions that might or might not involve a lot of shooting, whatever.
It all depends on what kind of game you play and want to play. Want to get into every major engagement? You might need 2-3-4 boxes of paint. You want to go stalk people and snipe? You may get by with 1 alone.
Seriously, this is one of the worst questions ever, especially if you don't give any clue as to what type of player you are.
Your best bet to getting the paint cheaper is to hang out by the cashiers where they're selling the paint. When you see someone buying a crap-load of paint at the maximum discount ($77 per case), ask if you can give him $77 cash and just add one more box to the order. Just plan on buying one case of paint for just yourself, be disciplined with your shots, and if you need more... I'm sure they'll have more to sell. Remember: its better to buy too few than too many if you don't want to go home with paint. You might also want to check out the D-Day thread under Scenario & Big Games post on PBNation.com.
