Review: Well it's been a long time coming...

My youth group went to the field around June. We had played before at Game On but nowhere else. We had heard a lot about The Project and since they gave us an awesome group rate we tried it out.

Good Points:

-Like I said they gave our church an awesome deal, we had like 30 people.
-The field is indoors which was awesome because it was raining.
-They have a small shop where you can buy barrels, tanks, masks (didn't see any markers though).
-The place is air-conditioned.
-Observation deck is nice cause you can watch from above.

Not so good:

-First I'd like to say that I've heard there have been improvements but I haven't been back since so feel free to send comments.
-My major problem was that the bunkers would fall over or roll away when you breathe on some of them. One of the youth ministers decided to pick up the pallet and run w/ it cause his spool rolled off.

-Also not to harsh on em but I think the refs were kinda inexperienced. There was only one watching 10 of us play at a time and he kinda just stayed at the entrance in flip flops. Also they had trouble figuring out how to fill our hpa tanks. Also we pretty much chrono'd everyone ourselves (minor inconvenience). Like I said though I don't know if these guy were new or what, but they had good attitudes.

-The stuff on the floor kinda bothered me, it was like we were playing at the Mardi Gras Open. Diving from one mess to the next.
Most of the paint on ya came from the floor. But upside is you could slide from one wall to the other on that granule stuff (oil-dry). However I do understand since it's inside that's all they can do to soak up the paint, no big.

-Since we had plenty of newbs some got scared since you were so close to each other. But since we were on like 190-200fps once they got shot they usually loosened up and enjoyed.

Anyway like I said I have heard there are many improvements now so I might be outdated on my review. Don't think I bashed this field or anyone there. It was alright to visit but I wouldn't make it my home field if there was another in the area.
