Let me first say that this field, Extreme Paintball in Modesto, does bad business. Would you want to go to a business where they change the price on you after organizing a trip there for the past month and after being given the quote? of course not... but that's what was given. there was such a inconsistency from the owner, Gina Telford, on the price!
I know that every business is just trying to make a buck but doesn't common sense tell you not to lie to the people who are paying that buck when they get there? don't ever bite the hand that is feeding you... ie: don't ever lie to the customer that's paying you!
you want good excellent business ethics without the BS lies then i HIGHLY suggest not to waste your hard earned money at Extreme Paintball in Modesto. you might as well go to some place that will NOT LIE TO YOU and that has good business ethics.
I hope you are happy with yourself Gina Telford... you had to lie in order to make a pretty penny. This dishonest act does reflect your personality and looks very bad on your business. congratulations... you were able to lie to the 25+ people who came there just to make more money...
This is Gina's reply while talking the person who oranized the trip... "well the price that i gave you was based on 30 people like you said... but since you are 2 (TWO) people short than that's why the price changed" ie:
2 (TWO) people... why couldn't you say that before the run-around-the-bush of "let me check my email to see my notes"? 2 people short in a group of 28 attending worth the decitfulness? let me tell you that the 2 only people that bought their guns decided not to use their guns and wanted to be part of the the group rental but after hearing what the Gina did they shook their heads and was very clear that they didn't want to do business with you.
REMEMBER THAT INTEGRITY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN LYING.
the field has it ups and downs... the walls and such as very sticky to the touch.
referees... they are okay
management... horrible. didn't appreciate the lying.

I'm kinda lost on what your complaint is. 1. If you were quoted a price for 30 people but didn't have 30 people how can you complain that the price changed? 2. You keep saying she lied but you only say that she had to check her emails. 3. Where is the lie? What, you expected that she is suppose to remember off hand what she quoted to you?! Like yours is the only group she's dealing with. 4. You have no business bashing her personally. Gina has been one of the most nice and helpful people i've delt with in ANY retail store i've been to. If you have a problem with company policy that's one thing but you make it sound like she was out to get you lol. Extreme is owned by Gina AND Rich Telford. As in Rich Telford of XSV one of the best pb teams in the world. I've been to extreme's field about 2 dozen times and almost half the times had pro or semi-pro teams there. Rofl they arn't some rinky dink mom and pop organization who needs to scam your group to make a profit.
to answer you comments there. 1. she asked for an estimate, 30 was the estimate "with a 5 person buffer". 2. we didn't correspond the price quote through email! it was quoted through the phone. so what emails was she talking about? you got me. 3. i expected her to know it because i called couple days before i came and i did call more than once. you are making like it was a one time repeat... oh no.... she quoted us the price and on more than one occasion! 4. "bashing" on Gina... come on now... she lied to the person in charge of the whole thing. let me ask you a question... besides what you know of the telford's... wouldn't you want a story that's consistent? this applies to anywhere... at a resturant, shopping, and from people... simple as that... it's a yes or no answer. i didn't like the run around the business excuse that was given. it is hard to repaint that day but honestly if you were in our groups shoes you would agree... and again this is besides your acquaintance with the telford's. Lastly, i didn't mention anything about the XSV team, so i have nothing to say about that. i stick the topic at hand.
so please don't take my comment as a foul. it seems as if you did. what happened to our group is not something new and i'm sure you heard it at different places. sadly, extreme paintballing in modesto just fell into the statistic of doing something not ethical business. what's done is done and no matter how many times you reply to my comments will not change anything. simple as that. it would have been nice to have this situation avoided from the begining.

Dispute: Uh, excuse me? The owner didn't lie to you; she gave you the price for thirty people. YOU brought only twenty-eight, which means that the price you GOT was the price for the amount of people you brought.
