Springfield Paintball, Paint Games Plus, and Hit and Run.
Springfield Paintball isn't bad, their field is very small but better than their old field. Matt will help you with pretty much anything you have a question or problem with.
I played the Show Me State games in 05 at Paint Games Plus and had a very good time. I didn't go to their store at all because they were moving from one location to the new one, but the reffing for the tournament was great and the fields were nice.
Hit and Run was not a pleasant experiance for me, from what I saw and heard from other players as well this place was/is backwoods(as in bad).
Hillbilly paintball isn't the best field I have played at and by no means is it the worst. John, the owner, is a nice guy and will help you with any questions or problems that you have. John now has three different types of fields and is continually trying to make them safer and more fun to play.
Now the guy who was bashing the tournament that he played at needs to rexamine his words. Yes. there is an incline on the field, but I don't think it is all that terrible compared to some of what I have played on. The reffing that day was above average, I played in the tournament(and got my butt kicked) and I was overall happy with the reffing. In my first game I had the center fifty ref run and pull me because the other ref was not in a position to see the hit, he did this running across the field and taking fire to get me out, and this is pretty much how the reffing went all day. As for people cheating and the refs accusing them of it is because there was some cheating going on and the refs knew who it was. They didn't make a big issue out of it, but they were firm with the rules. I hate to break the guy's heart below me, but if you think that there needs to be proof to be able to call someone on cheating then how about this. New player picks up someone elses DM4 to use for a game and is suddenly shooting faster than a seasoned player on an Intimidator, when the refs go to check his gun it gets turned of because the eyes were malfunctioning...... hhhhmmm
Anyways Hillbilly is a good place to play if you want to have a fun and safe time. If you go there and be a dick, well expect to get treated like one because John and the refs don't go for that sort of thing.

1. you have personally used this said dm4 and know that it is not a cheater board and that it cannot change modes by turning it off. you know for a fact it has virtue and that it wasnt ramping. the gun had taken a shot in the trigger and the paint in the microswitch was causing the gun to bounce.i am sorry that noone at the feild but the person who owned the gun and a person on another team (person you are bashing) knew how the board worked and the said person on the other team backed him up. also after the incodent the gun was checked by a ref going on and off the feild everygame and nothing was found. also the manual for the board was handed to the refs to proove the boards mode could not be changed but the refs said that they didnt want to see it and that they knew it was ramping and thats all that mattered but yet they could not make it ramp or bounce when the gun was checked.
2. also the "new " player who was using the dm4 in question shot the intimidator loaned to him just as fast. as far as cheating going on i was not aware of any cheating except for the accuzations made about the said dm4.
3. if you mean telling people they are wrong when they are when you say if you act like a dick then i guess your right. but if you mean taking up for yourself when some one says you are cheating and your not then hmmm i dont know what to say.
to fianlize my statement i was a witness to this incodent and thought it was total bs. the reffing was ok not the best not the worst. but incodents like this one should not happen. it is my feeling that this situation was handled wrong. losts of yelling and accusing when there was no proof to support the accuzations but plenty of proof to show the gun cannot switch modes without going into programing mode.
