Ok so heres the story. I played at this field 3 times and never got to play speedball there. So I ask the owner when speedball would be open and she said that speedball is open for walkons every saturday. So today (saturday) I go down to Skyline to play some speedball and try out my new gun. I get there and the bunkers are all deflated. This didn't bother me because I thought they would set them up. I went inside to ask and they talked to one of the boys working there and he said, "Yea I will do it when I feel like it." Ok this is when I get mad. So I wait for a while and they finally come out to set it up. After about a half hour he they quit and thats how it sits, just like that and it was no where near done. I walked back in and the owner said that it was not going to be opened that day. Wow talk about good customer service. Had it been someone that came to the field everyday they would have jumped right out there and set it up. I had 10 people dying to play speedball and had to settle for there rec fields.
Also, when the day was over and I had all day air I went back up to get my tank filled and they told me that air was closed and they were no longer filling. This would be ok had my friend not filled his tank literally 1 minute before this. The customer service is terrible, the people who run it are big headed jerks, and the refs are terrible. I will not be going back.
Dispute: I personally apologize you did not get to play speedball.
While we do try to accommodate walk ons on Saturday, the day you came was the day before a 5 man Battle of the Beans and we were trying to get the field rearranged and set up for the tournament teams coming the next day. Walk ons are definitely allowed to play speedball on Saturday IF the field is available and ready and IF there are enough players to use it. The day was extremely busy with regular walk on players and groups and we were not able to get the field reset while you were here.
Also there were only two of you that were there for speedball, you recruited walk ons to play with you on the airball field. They were ok with the walk on play but would have done speedball if available.
no, i brought my 3 man team to practice but you would not open it. I just did it as a walk on. We had 10 people all together that wanted to play speedball. Most were like us and were playing normal walkons until speedball was open. Thats ok though i and my team will just go practice somewhere else.
For future reference any TEAMS interested in practicing at Skyline should let us know a head of time you are planning to practice in order to avoid any conflict. The overwhelming majority of teams practice on Sundays, therefore, anyone wanting to practice on Saturday it would help us to know in advance.
