Review:
All I can say is, is that in comparison to the two other fields I've been to in this state, this one didn't compare. My first problem with it is more of a minor gripe, really. The airball field was mostly dirt and sand. That made it somewhat tough to slide around. More importantly, there was no emphasis on safety at this field whatsoever. No one was checked in to chrony, people would take their masks off on the field, and hardly anyone would keep on their barrel socks coming out of the field or in the staging area itself. I know for a fact that quite a few people were shooting hot, as I saw many people coming off the field with bleeding welts (not to mention hearing the *beeeeeeep* of the chrono each time someone was using it). All in all, it's not a very safe place to play if you want my opinion. If they worked on getting more people to ref and monitor velocities (not to mention the aforementioned barrel cover issue) it would be a great place to play. All in all, I give it a 4 out of 10.
Sorry that you didn't have a good time at our field. Safety is our #1 priority but some time our Ref didn't do it right. Thank for pointing it out, we aim to do better.
I noticed that after you had posted this the field owners have made alot of changes. For one the ref's are required to chrono players before entering the fields and random chrono checks are done on the field. The refs are also stressing the "masks on" and barrel sock rule more heavily.
Dispute: don't play somewhere and assume , you know all. the field is tore up because of high usage. if you see people with masks up and/or barrel covers off, they were not
thinking or forgot, let them know we all do it at some point. as for the chrono, there are two of them the refs do check , but the responsibility to play safe is up to each person. those bleeding welts could have been close shots, who knows. Sorry if you were disappointed in our local field, I've been playing here for a year now and overall it is a safe family oriented field for all skill levels. have a good one paint you soon
