Review: They give you a little safety talk before they start in the mornings, probably good for the noobs. The staff there are morons! on their web site, it says most friendly staffin town. Wow this is untrue. I take my tank to get it filled (i was still using co2 at this point) and it was a tank with an on/off. The retarded woman filling the tanks said my tank sucked, because she was too stupid to turn the tank on before filling! Playing was ok. there were like 80 people playing and like 1 ref, so there were bonus balls flying everywhere. I finally decided that therewere too many people playing , so I decided to play speedball. i tried sliding, but I hit a rock, which broke one of my pods. IT was also incredably windy there, and in he middle of a game, the steaks came up, and picked up a dorito. the dorito came at me, and I was hit by it durring a game, which was actually really funny, because soem guy had got it on tape. The rentals were really bad. My friend was renting that day, and he got a spyder extra, that was missing the beaver tail, bottomline, grips, and the proper feeedneck. the body is the old style feedneck, and they used the spyder feedneck with the tabs on it, so there was about 1/2 inch of wabble each direction. The fields were kind of cool, and I liked speedball (even with the wind and rocks), so I will give it a 7

OK, so removing the statement made by the woman filling the tanks and your friend getting a rental and not ASKING for a spyder that has a bottomline you seemed to have a decent time. One ref on a field of 80 players sounds strange for Conquest but let's say that was the case. Have you EVER walked off a field of 40 on 40 with varying degrees of experienced players/newbs and everything in between and not taken a couple on the way out?! You broke a pod on a rock sliding, try not sliding on your back. As for the comment on the wind, remember you WERE playing OUTSIDE, most places not surrounded by large buildings in the Los Angeles county area were windy as well. Lastly the whole beavertail on the spyder, if your friend was renting what's the difference with it having a tail, the tail is just for show on a spyder and does not make him any better a player.

-it was a long weekend, so there were only a few staff members, and a lot of players
-ofcourse there will be bonus balls, but that is going back to the ratio of staff to players. --I didnt slide on my back. it was a large rock next to be, and it hit my pod as i slid (normally)
-at Field of Fire, it is outside, and the wind is very minimal.

-Oh my god, have you ever owned a spyder, or a cocker?!?!?! the point of the beaver tail is to prevent the bolt form hitting your face as it moves back. My friend was a newb, and I had to warn him to not get too close. I shouldnt of had to do that. they should have had the piece on, just for saftey measures.

I still had fun, which is the important thing, but I am also stating the facts about the field

Not that I'm trying to flame you but...
Are you really blaming the field for the wind? Last time I checked, nature controlled that. I've been to Field of Fire when it was windy, does that mean it was their fault? No.
If it was a long weekend, and there were a bunch of people there, maybe your friend got an "end of the line" rental. Most fields don't even have that many and let's be real, how good do you expect a rental gun to be? If you ever bowled, what kind of shoes would you expect to get? Also, what kind would you expect to get if the alley was crowded?
You have your opinion and you are totally entitled to it, but some of these complaints...c'mon, get real.

DUDE!!! You'd recommend him sliding chest down on Conquest's fields? DUDE!!! I wouldn't recommend that at all. i'd simply say "learn the field and it's benefits and problems... i.e. don't slide too much unless you've cleared things out before the game starts" ... seriously.. i'd rather back slide and break a pods then downslide and rip my chest/stomach or break some ribs.
