Played on a Sunday with the threat of poor weather looming so there weren't alot of people. Games were organized with a minimum of persuading (start walking towards the field and a ref (or several) would move on over). Due to the lack of players there were generally some big gaps in between games as people joked around and restocked. The field would be reset and the next game started as fast as the players could get there acts together. There was an obvious group of regulars which cliqued together but only occasionally did the teams get crazy unbalanced and they were mostly friendly.
I'm not a big fan of X-Ball which was the only field running due to lack of players so I was a bit disappointed. I would have liked to have played the woods but there just wasn't enough interest to get a game together.
A very good experience considering the circumstances of the day. With enough players to get some variation and more fields up it would have been a much better day but those looming clouds kept people indoors. Will definitely try again.
Prices were very reasonable. I bought a case the night before at the Kohn Sports store in Oldsmar and was very disappointed in the paint. The field paint was basically the same price and seemed better than the wobbly stuff I'd picked up the night before. Think I'll just buy field paint next time. $20 field fee and a $5 rental for goggles (darn lazy brother forgetting to ship stuff) was very reasonable.
