Directions to the Field:
CR 337 in Gilchrist County
This field has one woodsball field, a domination field, 1 air ball field that is hardly ever blown up, and 2 hyperball fields. I am a rec ball player who primarily likes playing air ball and hyperball fields.
To start with the fields are not mowed very frequently. The setup of all the other fields have not changed in a year and a half. The airball field changes only because the owner's son plays on the team that calls First Strike its home field. The air ball field has so many holes in the bunkers that most of the bunkers don't hold air for very long. They give the excuse that its too much work to blow up the air ball field on rec ball days so usually we don't get to play on it.
Most of the ref's don't know any of the rules and they get attitudes and cuss at you, when you ask them about a call. I usually play with a group of very good rec ballers. Because we are pretty good, we usually get pushed aside because the owner is scared that we might overshoot one of the kids. From what I've seen, we are some of the fairest people that go out there. We usually help the inexperienced people as much as we can. Even though we usually get pushed aside and play each other every weekend...we still pay the same amount of money, just to play ourselves. The way I got better was to play many people, some were better than me, some not. The owner should recognize who comes out there to support him week in and week out also throughout the summer when business is slow.
When the team (Zero Effect) is out there, they play around outside of the netting with paint. Last time, we were there with the team...they decided to play around and squirt paint all over people's cars. As one of their friends were pulling up, they were outside of the netting shooting paint at the person's tires. They also blow paint through barrels around the tables where people are sitting.
If you can get around what I wrote, they do have decently priced paint. They also run games fairly quickly.

Ok, lets sort some of this out. The refs are paintballers, or at least all of them I know. Trust me, they know the rules. Have you ever gone down into the air ball area on a summer day? It is about 20 degrees hotter than everywhere else. Its not worth it for them to go threw the trouble of blowing the entire field up just to have some rec ballers go out and use it 1 or 2 times.
Now, what you said about the owner... He isn't dumb. Did you think that they seperated you from a private group? Or people out at a birthday party? you being "pretty good" doesn't mean anything. I play tourny ball, and I went out with Ben's (sexy sexy) 06 Cyborg and played rec ballers. If he is afraid of you overshooting, but not me (PSP mode - 15bps), then you over shoot on purpose.
Now, the tourny ballers will mess around, but not with everyone else. If they spray paint on a car, it belongs to one of them. If they are blowing paint threw barrels, they are checking paint to barrel match or they are just mesing around with eachother. You make it sound like people there are going to mess with everyone, reguardless of who they are. The field owner WILL NOT allow it.
Don't make it sound like your the life and blood of FSP. "the owner should recognize who comes out there to support him week in and week out also throughout the summer when business is slow..." He already does everything he can to make paintball ejoyable for everyone. Does he not have fair prices? Does he not have food there half the time? If something is wrong, doesn't he help? He supports the paintballers, not the other way around.
Now, if your so hurt that everything isn't fair, and your not being treated how you would wish, come out on a sunday. We will be happy to let you onto the airball field. Then you can see what the owner seperates people who are better than others.
And last but not least, the fields. Do you know how large FSP is? Very... He does cut the grass, just not every week. The fields don't change because... well, why? Why dig up all the bunkers just to switch some stuff around? Now, I dont think you understand the air ball field. Who uses them the most? Tourny players. Pros, Simi-pros, D3, D4, and about 3 divisions lowers you have me.... He arranges the field according to the next large tourny. Like I said, if you want to play, come out on Sunday.
