The accuracy of this review is disputed. Please see discussion below.
Period of
Field Use:
Just once
Date There: May 15th, 2006
Paintball
Experience:
3 years
Directions
to the Field:
Right across the street from the byron nuke plant
Review: If you have ever been near a nuke plant you know that every so often they have a drill to simulate the evacuation of the plant cause of a reactor problem. Well i was camping there and the park ranger came at 4 in the morning and told us to get out. So we slept in our car instead. Then we went paintballing. The field was more of like a backyard kind of field nothing like cpx or factory up north.

I don't know what paintball field you are talking about, but 1) you don't CAMP at Da Nuke, and 2) What Park Rangers??? it is a paintball field, a nice one with lots of woods and a speedball field. I liked the people there. they don't holler unless you mess up with safety stuff and they made sure we had fun.

The only thing you see from the nuclear plant is the towers which to make it cooler to be there. We have never been bothered when we played and the food was free. They changed to FPO which isnt too bad cuz it is only $40 bucks a case. I think you are a Poser and have not ever been there. :P

Dispute:
Okay, so this is now my 2nd full year playing at Danuke. The post I am disputing is just a flat out lie. Here are the reasons why this post should be removed:
First, the field does not allow campers. Period. Players do not camp at the field. The only exception to this rule was instituted on 9/5/2009 for the Scenario event run by the field's sponsored Scenario team, the Spiritus Raptors. Since this person has never camped there, this person is obviously lying. but wait, like a good Oxi clean commercial, theres more!!
Second, IF the field allowed camping, which they dont, and IF the Nuclear plant had initiated a "test" of any kind, the property is private, and no "Ranger" would have come onto private property in the first place.
Third, the owners live near the park, and would hve been evacuated far before anyone would have ever come onto the field.
Fourth, REGARDLESS of whether or not they would have allowed camping (WHICH THEY DON'T), and REGARDLESS of whether or not the Nuclear Plant had run a test (WHICH FOR REASONS OF NATIONAL SECURITY THEY WOULDN'T ANNOUNCE BY TELLING PEOPLE IN THE AREA), and they HAD sent security to check the immediate area (WHICH SINCE THE PROPERTY IS PRIVATELY OWNED AND ONLY OPEN A FEW WEEKENDS EACH MONTH), you would have been woken up by the security firm that was contracted to the plant, and probably would have been looking at the business end of an M4.
Because fo the obvious and fantastic nature of this unrealistic post, I ask you remove the post from the forum, since it offers zero accuracy referring to the review of a field.
