THE BAD:
1 - Refs dont know what theyre doing - had to call one over to ref a game
2 - Refs will not yell at people, there was this one guy who would not stop swearing and he shoved this 12 year old out of the way because he was mad, and it took other players to get him to stop
3 - Airball field was high quality, but was small, this is my opinion
4 - Refs dont pick the teams - bossy players do
THE GOOD:
1 - The 2 fields they have are amazing
2 - 4 different kinds of paint, ranging in quality and price, so you get what you want
3 - Owner is a nice guy who will order parts for you
4 - The field regulars are nice guys who are willing to share there knowledge, if your
inexperienced like me
Overall - This field has much potential, but the refs need to be better trained and be more willing to get on trouble makers. I plan on playing at excalibur from now on, and if i get into speedball i might come back in a year or so.
1. Just curious...... how many other fields have you played at where there are 2 refs on each field? Or even just one?
2. If you see someone swearing and pushing people around, TELL SOMEONE!
3. Not much we can do about the airball field size....
4. We like to keep it up to the players, the refs wont get involved in picking teams unless someone asks, or they are obviously unfair. If we chose teams every game and split up friends, we would be hearing even more complaints.
as far as the refing gose they can't help that thay dont have many refs and to keep paint, air, and field fees low thay probely dont pay there refs if you have a problem with not having anof refs then ask someone thats not playing to ref a game but be ready to ref for them when thay ask.
as far ast the air ball gose i think there is somthing that can be done siwch the fields put the hyper ball field in the air ball field and take out some of the bunkers and then put the air ball field where the hyper ball field is now. i thing the ground is much nicer where the hyperball fields is but the ground could be taken care of by adding some more dirt to make it a bit less sandy whear the air ball field is now. also i understand what he is saying about the refs picking teams, but thay cant say you are here, and you are hear. but thay do need to make a call ones in awhile when things are unfair. theres alot of noobs that play at this field and when all the good guys that are friends gang up on the noobs it starts to become no fun for everyone thats when the reffs need to make a call and say ok lets be fair and swich things up a bit if noe one wants to be fair then so be it but the refs should still try to make a change. but all in all its still a great field for how long thay have been runing this field.
