Review:
I have not been there yet, but i am looking forward to this sunday. on sundays, you can bring your own paint, and if you have a gun, it only costs $7.00. they have woodsball, speedball, airball, and a 'mounds' course. i heard that the mounds course kind of sucks. they are open during the week for private games.you have to use their paint on the weekdays. a case of 2000 costs $65.00. a little too pricy for me. the refs are supposed to be cool, but dont take any crap and just enforce the rules. they care more about barrel plugs more than anything else. the chrono your gun to 300 fps or less.
Dispute: Um...as of last week, paint was only $40 a case and, as far as I know, it always has been. Also, maximum fps is 290 at PBX, like most rec fields. You're not really gonna see 300 except at a tournament.
If you're looking into playing there, I can say that its very cheap, on the one hand, but the refs are pretty lazy (its hard to get them to play anything except elimination) and the fields are very small. You'll probably only play the speedball and the woodsball fields: they never use the mound field and I've only heard rumors of them setting up for airball every once in a while. Still, it's a very good field for a newbie's first game or for someone looking for a cheap thrill.
Dispute: sonix's review is inaccurate because paint does not cost $65.00, it only $20.00 for a case of 2000, a good price last time i checked, and painball extreme is closed for good anyway, the sign is down and everything
