Review: I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the Blackcat scenario game, "G.I. Joe Vs Cobra" this past weekend at Skyline. It was my first scenario game, and my first trip to Skyline. I'd heard lots of good things about it so i was excited to see what they had to offer. As a beginner i'll tell you about my experience here.

Safety: At the initial "briefing" about the rules and what not they were very strict about googles and gun plugs. Refs reminded you when you left the playing area, or went on about what you needed. At no point was anyone rude about it, but they'd definately step into your way to tell you to cover your barrel if you were heading into the staging area. A+ job on that. Chrono's are in a batting cage area and are covered with netting, very safe. I wonder about the accuracy of some of the chrono's though since i made a ton of adjustments but they didn't register much change. maybe that's just my gun.

Fields: This field was by far the best and most advanced field i've ever seen; a true paintballer's dream. They have about 7 different fields of play, which were all combined together for the scenario. The town field is incredible with a ton of small buildings for you to play around and in. The rocket field has many obstacles as well as slopes on each side for sniping. By far the best field is the castle. Assaulting and defending it are so much fun. Trenches all around the castle give the attackers some chance, but if you can get a large group to play on that it's a lot of fun.

Hours: Although i played a 24 hour scenario, i saw that the rate is 10 bucks from 10-5, how can you beat that?

Prices: I can't speak for their normal rates because i didn't pay them. I payed my scenario entry fee and then the paint/air fee.

Service: Sue and Chris are both VERY nice people and i got a chance to talk to them ever so briefly. They obviously care about the players and everyone's enjoyment. And they've been doing it long enough to know how to do that.

Facilities: The main building where you get your paint, air, and other supplies is pretty basic. But it works just fine. Only saw 1 portopotty outside, but i never used it. Otherwise everything seems fine. Just a VERY long dusty dirt road to get to the actual fields.

In conclusion, i got to play at skyline all weekend with about 300 people. I had an absolute blast on these fields with their many variations and obstacles. I can hardly imagine a much better field for playing, they have certainly put the effort into this field and it shows. Just watch your footing because some of the terrain can be pretty brutal. Some of those hills i would NOT want to fall over, lol.

A+ field!
