Well, at first, when my friend told me we were going to a novice, i was a little concerned about how it was going to turn out. We were joking around about how the balls would just bounce off you. Weeellll, we were right. The FPS is set to 230, which isn't really enough to break a ball on someone each time. I got hit about 12 times in 3 hours and not a single ball broke on me.(but I guess I was lucky)
I liked the refs there. They were helpful, and they're saftey lesson was only about 2 minutes long. They made us do some fun games, and the better players were pitted against the rest of the players near the end (about a 1:10 ratio).
The place is pretty big, which is nice, because if you have a lot of players there, they aren't cramed together. However, they're props are limited to plywood bushes, and a straight line of 'houses' which sucked cause they had sooo many holes, that you'd get pegged in the head if you walked by one.
For thoses starting out paintball, like myself, this is a pretty nice place to go. Everyone is nice, if you have a b-day there, paint is 10$ cheeper (35$ for 500), and 'sherwood forest' is a good place for a little speed ball! So I give this feild a 7 out of 10 because it's better than some place and worse than others. I hoped this helps you out! |
