I went to this field as a walk-on, but fortunately there were several groups that arrived throughout the day, so I just joined one of them. Two of us brought our own gear, and the rest rented, but the refs were equally as helpful whenever we had problems. I used one of their A5s for one game, and it seemed to be maintaned well enough. When we first brought in our gear and were setting up, I asked the ref to fill my CO2 tank, but he let me use one of their compressed air tanks instead, only charging for the price of a CO2 fill. Prices of paint were fairly high, considering that the field probably got them wholesale, but it was high-quality paint, and I didn't have a single chop. They had two large speedball fields, and one urban-warfare arena. My only major complaint is that none of the bunkers on any of the fields appeared to have been washed since they bought them. At one point I backed into a bunker and when I moved away my pack was covered in white paint. Some minor comments about their fields is that I think they should make a slightly larger urban field, and that for the speedball fields they should clean out all of the paint shells on the ground and retill the surface. I slide into the snake, and when I tried to crawl forward, the dirt was too loose to move forward very quickly. It was like it was sand rather than dirt. I think the field settup was nice, the refs knew what they were doing, and everything was fairly high quality. All in all I think it was a good field. |
