Gateway Action Sports is a great field. The fields are very well maintained with the grass well groomed. The staff and operator are a great group with a new vision for how a paintball field should be ran in our area. The attention to safety is unparalleled by any other field i've been to. It is not only strongly focused on attention to barrel blocking devices and goggle safety, but you can hear the staff and operator reminding the players to stay safe with briefings and attention to other details like hydration on a hot day.
They cater to all types of players b/c they care about all types of players. Recreational players can enjoy the woodsball field and village, or mix it up on the 3 speedball fields(Spools, Air, and Hyper). Upper-level players and tournament focused teams can expect some good competition from some of the locals and they can have the opportunity to roll against the Sponsored team "Sinister Sainthood" who compete in the CFOA and other tourneys.
Their hours of operation from 8am to ? on sat. and sunday i can't confirm but i think its like 10am to 3 or 4pm. "outlaw" ball begins at 4pm on Saturday and goes to whenever the games end, due to the stadium type lights shine on the airball field. "outlaw ball" is defined by G.A.S. as a format of rules mirrored directly to the league in which Sinister Sainthood competes in. "PSP ramping" is allowed and encouraged as it helps the team practice for their events. Semi-Auto only is the rules during regular game play, and this ramping mode is only allowed from 4pm after on Saturdays
The real cool part of G.A.S. is that as i mentioned they cater to all types of players. They even offer discounts for pump players. Being one of those pump players, i can't tell you how much it means to finally garner a little attention in the pball scene. Enough so that pump players receive a half off discount on their field fees/all day air. 10$ and some change gets you on the field and all day air...not too shabby!
good field, great attention to the customer, and focus on safety and fun. check it out
