Review:
Skyline is a very well established location. Their proshop is a decent size, and has a great variety of equipment, paint, and other needs or wants to choose from. The staging area is of decent size but if a lot of players show up, you find a lot of poeple working out the back of their trucks or cars.
This is a very relaxed environment. The refs are cool to hang out with, and the staff is very friendly and accomodating. Safety is a concern here, but they are not strickly enforced rules which allow you to relax. If a player doesn't follow safety rules most of the time another player will remind them.
Theirs feilds are pretty good. Here is their list:
Town: This is designed as a centerflag field. It is a collection of buildings put together to create a small villiage full of angles, hiding places, and open lanes. Rather nice field for like 10 on 10. When there are too many people on the field it gets rediculous crouded.
Castle: This is an attack\defend field. It has a castle on a little knoll that is 2 levels, rather well made, has plenty of open spots to be picked off though. The field around it is woodsy, with a few open spots. There are plenty of avenues to travel to take the castle.
Ewok: This is an attack\defend field. This field has a fort that is very open to attackers. As far as attack angles this field has just about you could want. It isn't as dense woodland wise so it makes approaches a little more difficult.
Helicopter: This is an attack\defend - eliminiation field. This field is named after a tiny helicopter by the defending start point. This woods field runs across multiple terrain levels and includes plenty of bunkers, trenches, hills, and roads. The defenders are not confined to one spot so you really have to watch your flanks if your defending or attacking.
Rocket: This is a centerflag field. This field is relatively flat, consists of many bunkers, and a rocket in the center of the field. Some of the bunkers provide interesting covers, some are raised exposing feet, others are very short, other provide you very good firing lanes however leaves you very exposed.
Speedball: They have a turfed speedball field however I have not played on it. I've only been on saturdays and I think they only do walk on speedball on sundays.
Conclusion: This is a fun environment to play in. The staff is friendly, and helpful. The are pretty well designed, and the staging areas and proshops are clean. Try this place out, it'll be a good day gauranteed.
