I do NOT recommend anyone setting up a private game for this field. Plan on losing at least two hours of sitting around watching the refs pretend like they know what their doing. Seriously paintball is not rocket science!
Good luck trying to pay with a credit card because apparently ther credit card zon machianes only allow a "special amount" of transactions to be proccessed per day..... That's a first!
If you do decide give them a shot at setting a game up for you make sure whoever you talk to fully explains pricing, check in time, deposit and the responsibility of the "Group Leader" because they don't. You may want to talk notes for this one or read the policy and procedure manual on-line..
The group leader MUST COLLECT ALL OF THE MONEY for there players and hand it over Fox Paintball employee in one lump sum. Instead of making each individual player paying for themselves.....Which of cource would make more sence and less frustrating to all, but thats there policy!!! I have yet to find this one written anywhere.
This is to the Group Leader. Remember everything falls on you shoulders! Everything.... If aliens come from other space and steal any of the gear, tanks, paintballs, belt straps someone soul...... YOU WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE.
Overall: There field is fun to play on but definitely not worth the time, money and effort to ever go back ther again!
Advise to the staff, from one business owner to another.... During you moring meetings, please do not pass out any NOS tanks for your employees to suck on and...................
Hey man ive been going to Fox for the last 4 yrs ive never had an issue weather in a private game or an open game. I play D3 so i know something about quility in paintball they r at best a 7/10. But just tell me who ur supervising ref was and I'll c wut i can do cause whoever it was is just being lazy and needs to b reformed
It seems you had a bad experience, and it does happen sometimes. In the course of running a paintball field there certainly can be some problems. We do try and address the issues immediately if we are able. I'm sorry you could not find a better way to express your dissatisfaction than by posting anonymously on this site. And with comments like "do you guys drink bleach?" I'm not even sure If I can take this post seriously.
To address the issues that seem pertinent.
Waiting on Refs.
If you were waiting that long to play why would you not have gone to management and taken the issue up? I can't imagine you sat for 2 hours and did nothing. Our refs are trained to get groups playing. Unless there was an issue or you were waiting on someone to arrive. I just don't see any sense that you sat and did nothing. I find it highly unlikely. If you are in a Private group those refs are there exclusivley for your group.
Seting up a game.
We make it very easy to get the information on what you need to know. The information is accessible 24 hours a day on the website. If you are taking the resposibility to set-up a group outing you should take the time to learn what to do.
Yes we do want the organizer to collect funds in advance and pay for the group as a whole. It goes much faster and is much much easier to do than multiple transactions.
Can you imagine having to run credit cards for 50 players in one group? We can take transactions individually but we certainly do not prefer to do that. We tell the organizers this when they book, but I agree it is not clearly stated in the paperwork that this is our preference. I will make that change right away in the paperwork.
Rental Equipment Responsibility.
Most groups leave a single ID to secure rental equipment. This single ID is the Organizers. If there is a problem with all of the rental equipment being returned then yes it will fall on that person for responsibility. We will however take ID's from each individual so that the responsibility falls on each person for their own equipment. If you are an organzer and you do not know all the players in your group and do not want to be responsible for all the rental equipment then have each person present their own ID for rentals. I am going to now spell this out very specifically in the organizer paperwork. Typically about 2 or 3 times a year we have this issue from organizers that are not well prepared.
I'm sure you appreciate feedback from your customers, but if they don't direct it the proper way it never does you or them any good. I do appreciate some of your feedback, I am going to make some changes based on it.
I'd sure appeciate the chance to make up the bad day for you. It's not our intent for anyone to leave unhappy. I'm Tim. I can be reached through our website email.
Dispute: I know that fox asks the person who sets up the group outing to collect the money from the players cause it just makes the transactions easier for everyone. Also Yes the person who set up the event is responsible for any equipment that happens to get taken by aliens. I know that challenge park is the same way. Thats how the company protects it self from aliens walking off with their equipment. Fox does well with their private groups and has plenty of people who come back to do another private group, i am sure they will not be worried when they dont see your name on the list.
