Review: Well lets just go down the line

A bare minimum. The Goggles and barrel covers highly enforced but thats about it.
In a bad need of repair
The hours are decent and the refs keep the games rollin' when they do get started
Cant complain
This is the only field in Tampa where rules are made up by players and the owners do nothin' about it (there is a story behind this comin' up)
!? There are services at this field !?
If you feel like being ripped off sure use the proshop
I've seen more motivation out of road kill than some of the people "working" at this field
HA! If you would call kids who barely make the minimum age limit to play at the field refs then by all means yes they have em'
I've seen more wiping and other various forms of un-honorable play here in one day than in the entire span of my paintball experience
I've seen better at an outlaw field
They do pizza orders

Every here of "Dead Man Walking" play? No? Well its a play that only Orbital allows. Its where a player walks the line pretending to be out to get around the other team then proceeds to eliminate said team from behind. Well the very last time my team and I played at this field together we encountered this "new rule." During one the games I was out and watching my teammates from the sideline when I saw one of the players from the other team walking up the silde line pretending to be hit go behind teammate 1 and try to surrender him then he continued down the sideline. Teammate 1 the turned to teammate 2 and yelled "Fire." Teammate 2 proceeded to unload his hopper into Opponent untill he called himself out. The 3-4 more times that day our entire side was defeated horribly because of this. My teammates made many calls, sent emails and letters to the owners with no avail.

If you only get one thing out of this review take this with you
Try Blitzkrieg off of 275

*EDIT 05FEB2009*
Okay I probably should've edited this immediately after my last trip (late in 08) to Orbital. I must say that things have changed dramatically for the better. The fields arew in much better condition as well as have more widely distributed cover for both sides. The refs and staff are very squared away, players seem to be more willing to police their own now more than ever. A proper pro shop is still something to be desired, but its much better than before. Overall I'd give it 9/10 up from the 2/10 I gave it previously. Its not the best field in town, but definitely one of the top fields in Tampa if not FL.

The 'Dead Man's Walk' is a pretty commonly accepted play within woodsball and scenario circles. Done well, it can be very effective, done poorly it can be little more than a pain in the prat. I can see that you would be mad about it, but it's not a 'new' thing, nor is it totally looked down upon by other players.

That doesn't change the fact that the rest of this review is very negative, I was just feeling informative.

Really? Cause at all of the other fields I played at in my area view "dead man walking" as an unacceptable form of play on the field and in some cases I've seen people attempting this is thrown out of the game.

Ummmm, ok, yeah. To put this nicely, you are lieing through your teeth. Yeah, Dead Man Walking in a recreational game is not fun.
Wiping is everywhere but it is more under control at this field than any other place I have been to in and out of Florida.
Rules are not made up by players. Yes, I have seen a lot of players explain rules for people but they not not made on the fly or behind the staff and owners back.
The proshop is small and does not carry a warehouse sized inventory like on some online stores. I have seen a hell of a lot worse pricing.
The only lack of motivation is from players in between games. Refs have to call a few times to get people up front to play.

i play at orbital all the time and have also played at most of the other local fields in the area and orbital is the best if your looking for woodsball, oh and there coming out with a speed ball feild really soon, cant comment on that yet but as far as people pretending to walk off the feild then shooting you and them not caring about safty of the players, thats a huge lie, there aways on top of safty and the refs are aways into the game and laughing and joking around with you and the fields layout is amazing. im guessing that the guy who wrote that other review was a speed ball player whos never been on a real woodsball feild and got upset when his knees got dirty from kneeling in the dirt(SORRY KID IT WASNT TURF REAL PAINTBRAWLERS GET DIRTY) so i could see why he wouldnt like orbital in all orbital is a great feild
