PupChow Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008 Period of Field Use: 6 months Last There: December 30th, 2007 Paintball Experience: 6 months Other Fields in the Area: Hogback, OA, Warplay Review: Pev's to me is the yardstick that I would measure all the other local fields to. It is not necessarily the best, but definitely one of my favorites for various reasons. Pros: 1) Large - many different field choices 2) Organized - the refs are confident and know what they are doing, good staging area 3) Friendly - the staffs are friendly and helpful, for example, one time when my friend's marker wasn't working right, they lent him a rental for free Cons: 1) Large - Sometimes they have ridiculously huge walk-on group, one time there were 60+ people?! 2) Cost - It used to be decent, but the price is recently raised to $25 for walk-on with own gun Overall I think Pev's is still one of the top paintball fields around the area, and friends from my forum has been going there 70% of the time. True there are great fields like Warplay in terms of scenario games, but Pev's is my choice for a great all around local field. Definitely worth checking out if you have never been!
