Review:
SAFETY: Fairly good, although spotty at times.
FIELDS: Fields could be better. They are not very well maintained as far as overgrowth goes. The tower they have is pointless. The trailer field seems like a good idea but you quickly realize it turns into a stalemate.

STAFF: I have played here for a long time and the staff is where the real problem with this field lies. It is ultimately the reason I won't be returning. It is such a good piece of land that would be an amazing place to play if it weren't for the people who work there. First of all, they are terrible about making fair teams. Then, once a few games go by with one team winning every time, they refuse to re-pick them. The owner thinks he is the ultimate paintball guru. He will come in to play about halfway through the day and will always go on the team that is ALREADY dominating.
REFS: The refs are 15 yrs old at the maximum and they always favor the teams that their buddies are playing on. One ref tried to tell us that we had shot him and that we needed to apologize before we could keep playing. Meanwhile, his friend snuck around our flank! Very unprofessional.
The last time you played there was july??? the owner had hernia surgery at the begining of july ,Personally I havent seen him on the field since the surgery. The teams must have been really uneven with a guy on cruches playing .If you think the teams are uneven say some thing they are more than willing to help when I was there last ,maybe you had a bad day try them again. What can you expect from 15yr old refs ? Its hard to get an adult out there for a days wage ,at least they haves refs.
The fields have been completly gone through, that tower was put there in 1997,the trailer field is an urban expirence. And recently up graded.A wooded field is way harder to maintain than a speedball field (40 acres verses 5).
I hope your next time out will be better it is the only woods field around our area.
Dispute: The owners care about this field. The refs DO NOT cheat, that would be Extreme Paintball. I would know seeing as I am one of them. And all the refs are over 15. I am 20 and the other refs are 19 almost 20 so dont make up stuff that is not true.
I've had some great experiences at this field and will continue to go back, however it just so happens that I was present for Skum's run-in with this ref and did see it all take place.
Refs get hit and shouldn't demand an apology in woodsball. Easy to shoot anything that stirs across a clearing... which is all that happened. Said ref was chatting with his friends on the field and was staring at the origin of the shot that hit him, all while his friend(s) flanked the position. It should have been handled off field without tempers flaring. The reason I know this all went down is because I was at Skum's 9 o'clock and pwned the chumps that flanked him.
I don't know about the date (that was YEARS ago) but it was definitely the last time I was there. I do know that the owner was there too because he got all heated and was going to call the sheriff or something after Skum & co. took off. I don't remember him playing though... he was the only one who knew that I was shooting a Viking.
The teams did seem a bit off balance, but I always have fun regardless...
Regardless, I'm still planning on going back hopefully this weekend or next month (or both?)
HA! I remember one day where my teammate and I were transferred back and forth green to pink and then some just to keep the teams even. I had to play against my own team. The refs don't play favorites out there. Im a regular and they call me out when im hit, just like any other player. Sometimes if one team has more experienced players, they will allow the other team to have more players, as long as the players agree. Playing against the odds is what makes you an experienced/better player (IMO). I've never seen anyone have to apologize for shooting a ref. I've reffed out there a few times and have been hit quite often, its part of the game.
If TPZ was open everyday and I could afford it, I'd be out there everyday.
