Review: The main thing to keep in mind about this field is that the upper management is completely useless. With that being said, pretty much all of the employees are kids who more or less run the entire show. Also, it's also good to remember that the staff is extremely lenient and tolerant with Safety violations because they are also players when they're not working and don't like to sit out/eject anyone. With that in mind, the employees do a pretty good job.

Their Pro Shop has an extremely limited selection when it comes to equipment being that the field it self is very low key (i.e. funding a paintball field including field maintenance, air tanks, paintball equipment (paint, markers, etc.), payroll for employees, etc. can become quite costly). Although their Pro Shop is limited, there is a Pro Shop called Ballers Inc. about a 1/2 a mile to a mile down the road if you're willing to make the trip.

The Fields are pretty good for what you pay, especially if you go on Sudays for the B.Y.O.P. (Bring Your Own Paint) specials. 90% of the fields are woodsball with the exception of 1 speedball field (containing metal drums and not that great of a composition (ground is composed of wood chips, dirt and sand) and 1 airball field which is rarely used unless by local teams. The employees are constantly trying finding ways to update/improve the fields so that there aren't any inconveniences (i.e. advantages [for one team] on one side of the field). However the one thing that can't be helped is if it has rained a day or 2 before you play. The fields can get quite muddy and the trenches can get a little flooded, but that has a little effect because there are usually bunkers not far away that you can get behind.

In regards to Safety (i.e. barrel plugs/condoms, having masks on), the staff always encourage and attempt to enforce them however either the players are ignorant and disregard or the employees themselves every now and then may neglect to follow the mask rules and as a result, the players will follow by example.

While in the safe zones, players will every now and then fire their guns, which is either accidental, they'll fire a round over the netting/fencing, forget to put the safety on, or they'll dry fire. When this happens, the staff will give the player a warning.

They don't serve food and as such there are no restrooms there. There is a vending machine by the air shed which serves absolutely no purpose (but it is funny to watch people try and get something from it even though it is obviously not working).

The players that go there are 99% of the time friendly and it's almost hard not to talk to any of them. Every now and then you'll get the one person that has to be a sore loser and start something or fight over something petty, hence the 1%.

The Hours for the B.Y.O.P. are Sundays from about 10am-2pm for $25 (including an all-day air pass), however they usually don't get started until about 10:30-11am, mainly due to players not showing up until about 10:30 and the time it takes to get signed in and get air doesn't really help either.

The Airshed is worth noting only because they're not certified airsmiths and because i've heard of stories on how they fill up the air tanks. It's on the rare occasion that they will fill up the tanks to 3000 psi only because they may be running low on air and have to accommodate everyone, but otherwise they will fill the tanks to the max.

I've also heard about the way that they fill up the air tanks and how there may on the rare occassion be a blown O-ring on the nipple causing it to leak air or won't fill up the tank. This, fortnately, has never happened to me, so for now it is just speculation.

I give this field a 8/10 because it would be nice if they had an Airball field set up for BYOP days, just as another option instead of the same Woodsball fields. But i also gave the field a 8/10 because the staff is very personable and will help whenever they can.

Dispute:
I shall dispute this review. Lets start from the top-

Upper management is useless. How so? Upper management consists of 3 people-the owner, and the two managers. The two managers report to the owner each and everyday, several times a day. What makes us useless? Ah I just learned. I went through the waivers that we keep on file, and I just pulled out the waiver for said 'Lam'. Good thing you did it in pencil, looks real good. And I wasn't aware that your first nme was just simply Lam. 21 years old? Hm. Interesting. Don't talk about us being kids when you only have 3 years on me, and are younger than some of our employees who were not working that day due to family obligations (yes I keep a record of all that too).

We actually get complaints from players who have been forced to sit. Just because there was a day in which the refs did not do a good job should not reflect a review. If I try a new brand of ketchup, and it happens to make me sick because I got a random bad one, should that reflect my experience of that ketchup?

Field/Proshop is low key. Thats a direct result of us not charging much to play. $25 BYOP? Yea we don't make much money off this field, so there is very little that we can return into the business. The Proshop is just for field necessities-the online market is what killed operating a store.

You were here before the announcement of new felds and the fields being revamped. All fields have been worked on, bunkers repaired, etc. Also, the new speedball field will be opened in about a week. We needed to save some money before we could work on it. Since we only charge you $25, it takes a while to save a few thousand dollars for field work.

Refs have been retrained and now have new ruling. At this point NO ref will make mistakes like that (not followng their own rules).

We have restrooms. Not on the fields, although we do have a single port-a-potty. Just ask an employee.

The vendig machine that is down at the fields does not work. It was supposed to be picked up by Pepsi a LONG time ago. They never show up when we are open to take the machine.

The airshed? You heard stories? How about reporting what you actually experienced?

You see, we fully research what we can and cannot do. We are only allowed to fill up to 3000psi since, thats all our compressor can handle. The bulk tanks have a rated filling of 45,000 maximum psi. The fill station itself can handle pressures up to 4500 psi, but it will very quickly go through our air supply. So, we fill to 3,000. Also, we are trained. Come in and I will show you. PS-airsmiths are those who actually physically work on tanks. Filling you don't need a certification-which is why some fields have self-fill ;)

You heard about blown o-rings? Oh no! OBVIOUSLY its the fault of the employees. Couldn't be that the o-ring is worn and should have been replaced. And what do you mean won't fill up the air? Like when something gets jammed insife the nipple due to players not taking care of their own reg and havng it cleaned regularly? Nope. Again, must be the worker's fault.

So Lam, play here some more, and report what you know not what you hear.

Being that you obviously know me, it would be rude to attack you being i don't know who you are. My intention of this comment/review was to shed some light on some of the negative comments left by some of the players. Being that i don't work there, i obviously can't clarify or confirm any of the rumors that i've listed. So with that being said, i apologize for anything that you or anyone else that works there have taken offense. And trust me, if i didn't like Team Combat, i wouldn't continue to go there. Employees like you, Nick and Sean (as well as the price for BYOP) are the reason why i still continue to go there.

By "upper management" i wasn't referring to the managers like Sean, etc. I merely meant that you, the employees (including the managers) work your asses off to keep that place orderly and in shape (meaning the field maintenance, enforcement of safety rules, etc).
(I did like the analogy with the ketchup by the way, very funny).

Players that have been forced to sit out, i've mentioned to further clarify that the employees are VERY serious about safety and that you won't tolerate any cheating or safety violations.

I mentioned the Pro Shop being low key because i know you guys sometimes get complaints or inquiries about not selling guns, etc. That's why i stated that:

(i.e. funding a paintball field including field maintenance, air tanks, paintball equipment (paint, markers, etc.), payroll for employees, etc. can become quite costly).

With regards to the field maintenance, that again reflects on you guys, the employees, constantly working your asses off to keep the fields clean and fair. That's why i said:

The employees are constantly trying finding ways to update/improve the fields so that there aren't any inconveniences (i.e. advantages [for one team] on one side of the field).

With the restrooms, for the time that i've been there, i've only really encountered the one bathroom in the main building. I was never aware that there was a port-a-potty on site, so apologies on that one. And also, by state law, any building that sells food or drink of any kind, is required to have a restroom facility. Another reason why i mentioned the restroom (and the comment made about the Pepsi machine was made to make fun of the stupid people that try to put money in the machine).

With regard to the Airshed itself, i clearly stated at the end of the 2nd to last paragraph:

This, fortnately, has never happened to me, so for now it is just speculation.

with speculation meaning that i, personally have never encountered any of the rumors that were listed, so until i have personally experienced them, they aren't true.

So once again, i apologize if you may have read my comment/review the wrong way, but like i said, i merely meant to shed some light on the negative comments that were left by some of the other players that reviewed your field.

If you have any other questions or complaints about my comment, i'm sure you can get my contact info from the waivers. Thanks
