I went to this field for my first time playing paintball and didn't know what to expect. We got there and rented our equipment ($10) got all day air ($10) and brought our own paint. We played on 2 of their fields (urban and capture the flag) and had a blast. After 2 or 3 rounds we would exit the field and check our gear, reload, get air. The rounds lasted from 5 - 10 min each with the 8 people that were there. The referee also manned the pro shop in between the games and was very knowledgeable. I had a problem with my marker and he showed me how to fix it and we were off again. I hated it when I had to leave and would definitely go back.
The other people who showed up, had at least $500 invested in paintball gear and were pretty intimidating but they were split up by the referee to make fair teams. So don't feel like you and your newbie friends are are going to be pummeled like we thought.
They had everything that we needed and more. The paint that the pro shop had was cheaper than the stuff I bought from WalMart. 2000 balls = $35 (TPS)... Walmart was $38. The pro shop also had candy and drinks. Air was $10 all day or .37 an oz.
I can't wait for the D-Day reenactment which has several boats with drop down fronts (made out of plywood) and a beach with fortifications at the top of a berm. They were saying that they get 100 people on each side and go at it. Too bad it only happens once a year. |
