My comments are stricty about the staff, which were exceptional. I'm referring specifically to Don (an owner) and David, a referee.
They were professional, to be sure, but also extraordinarily friendly and informative, not just about their own fields and rules but about pb equipment in general and even playing strategies. I couldn't have been more impressed. These guys love their job.
Of particular note was how accommodating they were of my 10-year old son, a first timer. After the first game, he felt right at home.... which was unusual considering he was playing an intense game with a bunch of Rambos. They were firm with the rules but not to the point of being critical or making him feel like he really screwed up. They helped calibrate the gun, loaned him some gloves, explained each field in detail, were with him in the practice area, always took their time, and just assisted us both in a variety of ways throughout the day.... all without making a big deal about any of it. They genuinely seemed to like doing it.
Overall, they had the best attitudes I've ever seen, and it rubbed off on the players as well.
