There is big hype in their pro shop (action Paintball) about this field and they tell you what to hear to get you out to their field. I had heard complainants from other players and been advised against going there and I should have listened.

When you get there and there is only 8 people there to play, they tell you about large groups of people that are going to show up that never make it. When I was in their pro shop and they talk me into going to play at their field under the premise that it was free for the holiday weekend (left out the part about it being free with a purchase of at least one case of paint, times me, my girlfriend and son, when we could have played at Hell Survivors all day for $15 total for all 3 of us.) they knew where I worked becasue it came up in the conversation. When I get to their field and there was only 8 people signed up to play, I overheard someone talking about this large group coming for the company I work for. When I inquired inside, I was told not to worry about the low number of people becasue there was a large group coming from the same place I worked (I should mention that this person had no idea where I was from) When I called them out on it and said they were lying, the story changed. I then talked to the owner at the field and explained to him I was told by the lady in the pro shop (who I beleive may be his wife) that play was free for the weekend (she never mentioned a one case limit per person) and that she convinced me to try their field based on that premise. I also explained to him that this was the reason I came there over Hell Survivors. He explained to me that he overheard our conversation in the pro shop on Friday (too bad I was there on Thursday) and there was noway she told me that. When I told him I was never there on Friday, he said well maybe it wasn't Friday but that he remembered me because I picked up two tanks and he recalled the conversation. When I told him I never picked up any tanks, that I purchased a hat for my son, he said, well then it must have been another time, but she never told you that.

I politely thanked them for wasting my gas and time and told them I would not play at their field. My son, my girlfriend and myself then left.

I then called the pro shop back and expressed my concerns and was treated very rudely. I was even told on the phone that when I came to their pro shop initially, that it was unacceptable that I was dropped of by the curb to run in and make a purchase and I should have parked. Didn't bother them at the time when I was spending my money of their overpriced equipment. This was just the best comeback they had to try and justify the way they misrepresented their field.

Bottom line, go to Hell Survivors. Much better field, better set up and lots of people. Plus free tanks and free air. It is worth it in the long run.

I should also mention that even the looks on the field was a great disappointment. In fact, even my son who has one played one other time (at Hell Survivors) saw the fields and wanted to leave right away. I guess I should have listened to him as well.

Michael please tell the truth
First of all you have never played at No Limits so I’m confused as to why you feel the need to say anything good or bad about the park seeing as how you have no idea of how it is ran or even what the fields look like and how they play.
Your problem seems to be with the store in Livonia which is not owned or operated by the park.
You 1st came into the store last Sat and yes you did park in front of my store in the fire lane, and within one minute of being in the store you let myself, my staff, and our customers know that you were a Livonia Police Officer and wanted to know what kind of discounts you get. I told you then that all my customers get the same great deals because I've been told our prices are the best around. You at that time said you can do better online, and that my friend is why paintball stores/fields have had to close throughout our state. Paintball is not a high profit business and with Michigan doing so poor I and other paintball owners are just glad to be alive.
I think all fields are trying to do specials this year in hopes of keeping the sport alive. As you mentioned some parks are offering free play to special groups. No Limits decided to lower their prices for everyone and give them $15 all day play with free air and a $10 up charge for BYOP or buy theirs for $35, $45, or $55 a case out the door.
Lets get back to you showing up to the field yesterday and making an issue over me telling you that for you only because your a PO that you, your wife, and your son would get to play for free and bring your own paint with no up charge, and give your son free rental gear and you a free nitro tank to use because your with the LPD. I'm sorry that you wasted your time but the price was told to you on Thursday and at that time you seem to understand (one free entry with purchase of a case of paint) this was also posted on the park site. The park runs specials throughout the summer as well as coupons. The story you gave to the staff at the park to get the three of you in totally free was not what was told to you at the store (which was witnessed by our staff).
The commit you made regarding the park owner was not correct, it was you that said you were in on Friday then changed the day to Thursday when he told you he over heard that conversion from the back. That was another Mike who is also a PO and played on Sat, and had no problem buying a case of paint to get the free entry and air.
As far as there only being 8 ppl at the park again not true, the park had 33 ppl on sat and the players had a great time. It’s too bad you let your anger take over because you never got to play and you ruined the day for your son. This brings up a real concern for me, on Thursday when you came into my store and let another staff member know that you’re LPD, I witnessed your young son sitting on my floor trying to build a structure out of my pods on display. It just makes me wonder if he’s mature enough to even play paintball or judge the park by viewing only two fields from the parking lot.
Last of all I think the readers should know that on Wednesday when you made 3 trips to my store all within 2 hours and all with a city owned crown vic parked again in the fire lane and left running. I asked you why you think you can do that on Saturday when you called to complain about the park charging you to play and you said because I can!
WOW my tax dollars are paying for you to shop on city time using a city car and city gas and you want MORE.
Please next time you don't like having a tax payer question the use of her tax dollars while in her store don't go on a field review site and trash a field that she doesn't own and that you have never played at.
If you would like to address me please stop by during your next shift and maybe invite your Chief and the Mayor I'm sure they would love to know how you spend your time working.
