I have all of my own gear and expected to have a rather inexpensive day playing paintball ($50-60). I am not a fan of the ‘field paint’ rule as it is a way to take advantage of customers by hiking up prices; however, that is life and I can get over paint that is marked up ten bucks. The problem is Top Gun charges $80 which is the most I have ever seen or heard of for paint. In addition, there was a $25 fee for entry??? But this did not include air which was $10 more??? My grand total was $120 (please remember I brought all of my own gear!!!) it was cheaper for my buddies who had to rent everything.
The refs were okay. There were many young children. Who have no clue about barrel or mask safety which makes a usually safe sport very dangerous. Most places do not allow young children to play for this reason. Top Gun is geared toward one thing: making money. This is great for them but bad for the paintball enthusiast.
Lastly, I enjoyed the fields but not the price tag. I will not be back.
How can you be a paintball enthusiast if you haven't played at other fields? Also, if you ever play at other fields you will see that the price of paint is higher than what you probaly buy at Wal-mart. Mainly due to the fact that it cost the field money to be there and to operate so you can have a good time.
The age requirement is 10 years old and up to play at TopGun. This is true of every paintball field I have ever been to.
The field fee is $35.00 per person. If you have your own gear that will include the all day unlimited air pass. If you do not have your own gear it is the same price of $35.00 and includes the rental of the gun and the mask. So it is not cheaper to rent stuff it is the same price.
I do not work at the field but am a regular customer with more than 15 years of playing paintball and all of this information is freely optained from topgun's website or when you call them.
He definitely is no enthusiast. Just like the other comment said MOST paintball fields allow players as young as 10 years old. Also most places with good fields charge in average $75-$80 a case.
He obviously doesn't truly get out enough
