Review: I try and go every weekend if I can, and everytime I've gone has been a good experience. Save for one time, but that was due to the weather.

As far as pricing goes, it's not terribly expensive IF you have all your own stuff, and you're not on the trigger the whole time, you can easily get in a full day from 10 AM to 4 PM on about 36-45 dollars. If you're renting, expect an extra 20 or so dollars on top of that.

CO2 isn't bad (better than DMC). It 4.50 to fill a 20oz tank.
HPA fills are a bit more expensive, but still not bad. I usally stop by DMC Paintball to get my tanks filled before I head out to Dragons, but still, no big deal.

Field fee is $12 flat, no less no more, field paint is average priced, with $25 for 1000, $55 for a case, and of decent quality. The ONLY time I've had problems with this paint is when it was cold, windy, and overcast. I had bought 1000, and one bag of 500 was brittle, chopped and spit everywhere, and would break from a drop of about 1ft, if that. Apart from that time, I have never had any gripes with this paint, but most people buy their own. (Save yourself 10 bucks and buy some Visible Impact from Walmart)

The rentals are old Tippmann 98's, but I know they have a few newer 98 Platinums, or something of the like. Most aren't bad, but some will leak, some of the hoppers won't stay closed, and some have a worn down sear. If you have any problems with the gun, take it back and they'll replace it.

The rental masks are awful, the straps are worn out, the foam is almost non existent, and are generally fogged and scratched. Some are better than others, but still, BRING YOUR OWN MASK.

The shop there can handle the most basic problems that could happen with your gun, replace O-Rings, and well, thats about it actually. If your electro breaks down on you, be prepared to have another gun ready, or rent a tippy 98.

Saftey here is pretty much "don't be stupid". Recently, they've gotten more strict on wearing masks on the field, and using barrel condoms in the staging area, they WILL kick you out for not having it, and don't think they cant see you, theres cameras around. Getting kicked out is not a fun thing, as Mel will march out with a loud speaker, yell at you, humiliate you, and wave her fists until you get off the field. Shes not afraid to use the more colorful parts of the english language, either.

You will NEVER be shot by an actual gun here, there is no danger of it. They regulate the range VERY well, and keep the range away from the paintball areas. THe only real danger here is tripping on a rock and twisting your ankle real bad, and it's not impossible to step on a nail, but you really have to not be paying attention to get stuck.

The people that come where come from all walks of life, you can see sponsored teams, first time birthday party groups, a dad and his son, church groups, military, hardcore woodsball/scenario players, and the brightly colored speedballers. Theres always someone to play, if you're used to playing tourneys, there'll be a group to play, first timers, just hop in a game or play by yourself. Theres alot of medium skilled players here, but dont be surprised to see a sponsored guy with his MacDev rolling with some Spyder equipped recballers. Kids of all ages can play, and anyone can watch from the berms so long as you're wearing a mask.

Everyone here is pretty laid-back. I've made lots of friends here. Most people will call themselves out after a hit, they won't wipe, and if you ask them to chrono they will. I have seen a few incidents where the "better" players, that is, the sponsored and speedball kids, won't call themselves out if they get shot by a recballer, or a firsttimer. They will wipe which can ruin the fun, but most of them are nice and are good sports, so even if you got shot out in the first 15 seconds, you can have a laugh about it after the game's done.

Saturdays and Sundays have good turnouts for people, so you don't spend a whole lot of time waiting around unless you want to.

Rules are inforced more on saturdays. They have safety speeches when the fields open, and more often than not they will have the chrono out. Once you've been a few times, they won't require you to hear the speech. There are NO refs, you organize everything yourself. I've even ran around on the field, during the game, taking pictures, and I've had no one give me trouble about it.

The fields are varied and give a very intense experience. Most are great for close combat encounters and sneaking, and there's a large field that 80 people couldn't fill. It can get quite dirty and muddy, and be prepared to have your knees cut and brusied. It's easy to jump over a bunker and find a 4 foot trench behind it. Really, just be careful, and you should be ok.

I think my favorite part of the field is the staff, Mel, Dragonman, and this bearded guy can come off pretty mean, but they don't mean anything by it. They're real nice so long as you're not breaking the rules, don't try to cheat them, and generally, so long as your not an jerk to them, they won't be one to you. They joke around and serve you as fast as they can.

All and all, this is a great place, as long as you
1. Have your own stuff,
2. Are a good sport
3. Won't mind getting a little scraped up
4. Have common sense

This place is like non other, I don't even know what to call it, My guess would be scenario/rec/speedball, but no matter what your play style, you won't be disappointed.
