Review:
i noticed every review on here was pretty much an advertisement and i wanted to say its not all what its cracked up to be.
pros-its indoors. bathrooms. nice store and concession stand. nice new bunkers. good netting. lots of refs [not exactly the greatest refs but a lot of them] self air [sucks if you dont know what your doing but its easy to do once you figure it out]
cons-its not heated, which causes the paint to be VERY BRITTLE. using Premium broke EVERY ball. the house team pretty much rapes newbies. the turf is very slick due to the oil from the paintballs. its all speedball so if you want variety dont go there. the prices are a little bit more than other fields in the area and the plex paint jams up guns and isnt cleaned thoroughly. the lighting absolutely sucks and if you are trying to take pictures they will not turn out. and they also crono you once and dont care about it the rest of the day and it being 285 or lower it is going to hurt terribly when getting shot within 7 feet. they also charged my friend 15 dollars just to look at his gun and told him its broken and they lubed it but when it was still broken another experienced paintballer tore it apart and realized mike never even opened the gun up.
Dispute: Hello, This is Mike Schlemmer, the owner of Paintball PLEX. I have no problem with a bad review but will not tolerate untruths about our facility. I request you remove the section about charging for working on a gun but not taking it apart - this is a LIE. First, I don't work on guns I have 3 certified master air smiths to do that. If we charge someone for work done - work was done.
On the other notes - we turned heat on in DEC - not because of brittle paint but because of cold spectators. Plex paint is great for Tippmanns .... but not electronic markers. Friday and Saturday is REC play, Sunday is Speedball play.

Lighting comment - Yes lighting is not the greatest but we do have qty 64, 400watt lights. It's a 38,000 SQFT space with 29' high ceiling and open span ..... this makes lighting difficult. For cameras you have to set your white balance low (slow you shutter speed) or pictures won't come out.
To clarify, players are only allowed to shoot within 7 feet of another player on Sunday, which is the speedball day. If you have a problem with getting shot within seven feet regardless of what day it is...my friend nut up or shut up. It's paintball, pain is part of it. If you don't like it don't play it. On to the subject of you breaking paint in your gun shooting Premium. Well here is an answer, get a better gun. Mike can hook you up with one of those. Since I have played at the Plex I have owned an Ego 7, DM7, Angel, G3, and now shoot and A1 Fly and a DM9. None of which I have ever broken a ball in. So I don't think it's the paint, it's your equipment. Thirdly, the "house team" doesn't play newbies. They play speedball only and on Sunday and practice against a lot of skilled and even pro teams. Maybe you should make it your goal to get on their level. Fourthly, the astroturf being "slick" is good because it allows one to slide more effectively. Better that than dirt. My fifth problem with your review is that you rip on pricing and lighting. How?!?! Have you found a better lit cheaper indoor field than Plex? If so let me know, but I know one doesn't exist.
