Period of Field Use:
January 24th, 2009
First the good, Both indoor cources are really fun to play on. Have a woodsball, scenerio, and turny outside. scenerio just opened on the 24th of this month. A complete blast to play on. Now the not so good. Faculty staff really aren't concerned if you play on there field or not. They are about the most un courtiuos personnel I have ever run across. House paint is no where near $60.00 quality. No safety brief for new walk in's and refs really don't enforce chrono regulation acordind to their web site. Overall fields are fun but won't drive 100 miles to play on there field again,. For Safety concious peaple if you use these fields, Play at your own risk as for safety doesn't hardly exist.
Dispute: 1)paint: our paint is a custom draxxus paint, the paint is basically draxxus bronze It has a very thick fill and a shell about the thickness of bronze. There are those occasional skids of not the best paint come in, there are also many circumstances like heat, the type of gun, how it was treated in shipping, and the brand. draxxus is a very renowned company with high grade products and awesome, highly renowned tournament and recreation grade paint.
2)chrono: Our hand chronographs are currently broken and need to be replaced but we have a outdoor chronograph that we currently have up and running. In a circumstance like this there are people who dont check their guns.
3) safety brief: we offer a full safety brief to new players and players who are new to the field. Usually we are so jam packed with people that sometimes we cannot keep up with who is a newer player whether it be to paintball in general or to the field. If this is the case simply come up to one of our staff members and tell us that you are a new comer and you would like a safety brief. We have a very professional staff whom would be happy to give you one.
4) safety in general: We keep a very strict barrel cover rule at insane, If you dont have one on your gun before leaving the field you wont leave the field at all. if you have your cover off the gun when off the field you will hear multiple refferees yell " put your barrel cover on" at you. If your mask is taken off during a game we will stop the game and tell you to put it back on and sternly warn you once and sit you for a game the next time you do it. the only time it is safe for your mask to be taken off is if one of our refferees mask's are off.
5) you must understand that on the 24th we were highly understaffed with a full house, in that case sometimes things go unseen, we will try better next time

I would have to politely dissagree. The paint my group and I used was in fact Draxxus, but it shot like a Wal-Mart brand paint, it bounced about 30% of the time instead of breaking, which I was very dissapointed by. I expected WAY more out of a $60 case of Draxxus. The day I was there(which was 3-14-2009) the refs weren't all that concerned with saftey briefings or tips for the rookies and we had 9 people with us, 5 people of which were pretty much newbs. Those were the only things I saw wrong with the field though, damn fine field in my opinion. EXCELLENT pro shop, best I've ever seen.
ok i have played at the field a few times the refs do a great job and the paint tends to be good tho the last time i went about 50% would not break but chances are that was a bad batch cause all the other times i went paint was perfect maybe a few bounces
