I've been playing at this field since I mived to RI in 2003. Nick is a great field manager and his refs run a fun and exciting game. The crowd that shows up to play here is great and doesn't have the super millitant/over agressive component that some fields seem to enjoy. Always a good mix of players from semi-pro to n00bs and a good mix of people from kids, to adults and yes...girls.
The field its self is a rolling multi acre field in light woods and scrub. Various forts and bunkers are spaced through out and the natural trails and bunker layouts make it easy to break the field into sectors for different game types depending on player turnout. There are a fair amout of briars on this field which will catch you if you're not paying attention when you flop down behind a bush but i've never seen any poision ivy or other such disagreeable plants on the field which is good (yes, prior bad experience)
The forts could be a little better constructed and bunker placement a little better but overall an excelent and fun field.
EDIT: Warzone just had their opening day on 3/15 and over 200 people showed up to play. Local teams and shops also participated setting up stands to advertise and sell equipment and such. Nick has made some great additions to the field for this year including converting the "football field" into a giant castle/fort that makes for an awsome attach/defend game. | Last edited on Tuesday, March 24th, 2009 at 7:03 am PST |
