Review:
Ok, we finished a tournament early yesterday so we decided to go and play some night ball at Orlando Paintball. We called ahead and got some prices which seemed fairly reasonable. Turns out to use your own paint you have to buy a byop membership. Which alone cost $50. BUt thats not all. On top of that what isnt mentioned that with the membership you still had to pay $10 for paint fee, $10 for air fee and $15 for admission. $95 TO PLAY WITH YOUR OWN PAINT!! Absolutly rediculous!! The refs treat you like 5 year olds. They might as well walk you to the restroom. That is if you could get across the road to get to the place. Our ref last night happened to be a woman who hates the world and everyone in it who was trying to play refferee and mommy at the same time with her 5 year old boy with her on the field. Wow what good parenting. The fields were horrible. Poorly maintained, over clustured with bunkers, and were vertually cratered with potholes. They make u play rediculous games of capture the flag and pick up the big rock or something just to make it not boring acoriding to our ref. If u think paintball is boring then just quit u obviously arnt good enough to play the wonderfull sport. If you live in the orlando or surrounding area there are much better feilds around u than this at half the prices with professional staff that know what they are doing. Just Google it. My advise dont waste your time and money! I had to learn the hard way.
Dispute: You fail to mention the $50 BYOP membership is an annual fee. Of course you're going to pay $95 plus, because you're paying for admission, air, paint, AND the membership. After you receive the BYOP membership it's only $65 for admission to both sessions, Noon til 6p.m. and 8p.m. til Midnight, all day air, AND a case of paint. That's cheaper than 1 case of O.P. field paint.
It's funny how you would drive from Lakeland, all the way to Orlando Paintball, just to whine about it. Do yourself a favor, just stay at CFP.
Sure people, go ahead and just try to play at a "tournament" oriented field and see how that goes. I bet all the little agg 16yr. olds will provide for a pleasant atmosphere.
I am an OP employee, but that does nothing to disprove my comment. Thank you for the last part of your comment by the way, as it shows proof positive of the type of hostile environment the one-timer, only-timer, and rec baller can come to expect from a tourney oriented field. If you want to play against me, come to PBW Monday night around 8p.m.
I have nothing to prove to go to you, but you obviously have something to prove to me... so bring it :)
