The accuracy of this review is disputed. Please see discussion below.
Period of
Field Use:
Just once
Date There: May 17th, 2009
4 years
Other Fields
in the Area:
DZ paintball(closed), couple of tournys over the pass. Other old closed fields.
Review: I will never be returning to the field. I strongly encourage others to not go to this field. Here is why:
The fields were in very poor condition, (mud everywhere, extremely unfair cover distribution). One field was called "Jungle". It was a roped off area of forest and stinging nettles. No actual built cover. It was a hike to get to, and the hike involved going through another field. The airball field is not turf of grass, it is gravel.

The Refs were inadiquate. They would not check for paint, answer questions, or otherwise really be of any use to the players other than to start and stop games.
They would not call people for playing on (continuing to shoot once the were tagged) and bonus balling (continuing to shoot at players who were shot and considered out of the game) seemed to be a sport.

The management is a joke. One of thier staff members played on, then bonus balled a group of young rental users. By young I mean probably not thirteen yet. The six people who he shot out after he was tagged (shot) went and complained to the management. One person (the one who shot him before he played on) was bleeding from his right arm, left shoulder, and left ear. I watched it happen. The person, "J" (not their name) ran by and shot the person the whole way around the bunker. After one ball breaks, you are supposed to stop. "J" did not. The refs were watching, and nothing was said to "J" by the other refs.

This is not a safe place to paintball. There are tinging nettles, wasp nests, poor safety nets( about seven feet high with foot long holes in the nets), and no inclination to tell the inexperienced paintballers basic safety, such as barrel plugs in.

I would never recommend going to this paintball field, and I have been to many. This is the worst. Ever.

Oh i forgot to mention, the staff member "J", was not reprimanded or otherwise disciplined. He was told to apologize to the person who was bleeding. Nothing else.

We are sorru for your bad experiance. Just so you know the ref was repremanded. As to the refs in general we have several younger ref that are new to the job and we are teaching them as fast as we can.

Ok so

1. I was the "j" player that he is reffering to in this.
2. I was playing and he was hiding and popping out shooting at me. i ran from the snake in urban past his bunker and yelled surrender or die to the group opf them behind the house. i ran past them a little stopped for a few seconds and gave them some time to answer which are the rules. he decided to turn towards me and try and shoot me along with several of the other kids wioth him. so i take that as die which is also the rules and shoot him and the other kids. i had seen that there were little kids earlier behind that bunker and only shot each of them about 2-3 times which in Operation Paintballs rules it states no more than 4 shots on a player. which i did not break the rules. he then proceeds after i shoot him to try and hoot me and i shoot a couple more back and the ones he shot me with never broke. the game then eneded and he had his friend who was waaaaay bigger than me try and fight me saying get the **** off the property and leave before i make you. i tiold his friend no and that he was not the boss of me. he said say that to my facebefore i make you leave. i said no again and walked down. he then went to the shop and complained to the managaer in charge and the manaager talked to me and several other walk on players who do not work there who said i said surrender or die and gave them time before i shot thm and people out of the netting also said that he tried to shoot me after i shot him.

3. i apoligized afterwards for shooting him a second time which i should have not done. I take responsibility for that part but the other part happens and the rules were followed. this guy even stated after i was done saying sorry that it was "ok" and said it was juust a big miss understanding and he was fine with it.

Hello, this is Jason, GM of OP. I can say that the player was indeed disciplined, As anyone would have been. I am sorry for your bad experience and I would encourage you to play again. I also believe that your review of the fields is completely inaccurate as you can see from other reviews. with the exception of the mud (which is gone now because it's summer) our fields our in perfectly good condition... although that isnt to say that improvements cannot be made :)
