I have only played on peoples private property in woodlands. I have had some really good ones and some that were not too fun. I had always wanted to try speed ball but never had the chance
Directions to the Field:
Go on highway 10 East until you go underneath the 60 bypass bridge. There is a gravel road there you go maybe half a mile down that road and take your first left then drive a couple hundred feet and your next first left you are at the field. There is also a sign that says TDR paintball
Ive met up with the owner of this field (Travis) many times before. When I paintballed when I was younger I could always count on him to fill up my CO2 for cheap. He would also sell paintballs and guns and almost anything you would need. I had heard of his field before but never had a chance to go on it. Then my youth group said that they were gonna go paintballing at his field so I knew I had to go. I had a great time. His field is nice and he is VERY nice. This time I learned almost everything about the field. We had a group discount and it was 20 dollars a person plus if you were under 18 you needed to have a parent permission slip. With the 20 dollar admission you get a rental gun (Tippmann 98 Custom) The gun is in good working condition stock just has paint on it from a lot of use. You also get 500 paintballs a person, a mask, and air. He uses high pressure air which has better accuracy than CO2 and if you run out he will fill it up for free since your at his field which in the end can save you a lot of money. Both times i went it was a lot of fun and the groups ended up paying for more paintballs which you can buy 2000 for 40 dollars (regular price at a store) Also if you already have your own gun you can get in for 12 dollars admission. The first time I went we had a group of 10 so we had 5v5 teams which for the size of the field was probably perfect. The second time I went we had a group of I think 16 or 17. So we decided to split into two teams again so people could play every round. That was actually a lot of fun to because of all the paint flying all over. The field is a decent size speed ball field with about 4 or 5 rows of things to hide behind and then 5 rows to get across to get to the other side. I guess basically a 5x5 field. The barriers were wooden pallettes and barrels. They were good and big enough to hide behind but also small enough that camping wasn't the easiest to do but you could still do it in certain spots. The only bad thing really was that the masks he rents out to people can fog VERY easily so I guess try and get your own mask. Thats really the only thing I noticed the rest was a lot of fun. Overall its a great place with only the one negative. I am for sure going to go again. The owner is extremely nice. An example was sinse he doesnt use CO2 he gave all his old CO2 tanks to a member in my group becuase he didn't need them anymore. He also gave one kid a free bag of paintballs becuase he had it twice where he lifted his gun up to say he was out and his hopper opened up and he lost a lot of paint. I would recommend it to anyone as it is a great field and really close if you live in the area as there are not many other fields close by.
