Picasso was me and my sons' first time playing paintball. Our group was a private 6 v 6 on a very nice day. The ref assigned to us was fantastic and very friendly.
Admin - Parking was okay but looks like it could get really bad when crowded. Short walk to staging was nice. Getting checked in was very quick even though it was one at a time. Prices are a steal from what I hear. $25 for all day air was nice since We shot alot of air. Small snack bar but the staf will order pizza for you if you ask. Nice! Paint was priced okay at $55 for 2000.
Safety - They "let us" chrono but did not say it was mandatory. Protective gear was enforced and a couple of our guys got warnings for violations. Ref did a great job stopping bonus balls and getting marked players off the fields.
Ref - We had one ref assigned to us and he did a great job in covering the field for paint checks and such. Really helpful to us noobs, giving us little bits of advice during the matches. Friendy and did a great job. Forgot his name... so sorry.
Fields - I thought that the fields were fantastic even though I had nothing to compare them too. Alot of nice cover and barricades. The Maze was a great field as is The Ridge. Not too fond of The Beach but my remote did not mate with my tank and I got lit up. Beach was huge. The Triangle was small but it still had great cover.
Overall - A top notch place. We had a great time and the staff at PL seemed to really work on ensuring a fun time. We got 10 matches in the 5 hours we were there and that seemed appropriate. Highly recommend Picasso Lake even though they would not let us smoke the water skiers!!!
