Review: There are two kinds of people in the world; two, and only two: Those who love Cowtown and those who do not love Cowtown. I cannot think of any other field in the country (much less the state) that inspires such strong emotional response to a day of paintball. And for good reason.

The reason d'etre for Cowtown; the seminal object of there being a Cowtown at all, lies in the proposition that almost every aspect of the field that touches the customer is designed with but one goal in mind - that is - to provide a completely fun experience, while on the field or not.

The customer service is simply unrivaled. The owners, the refs, and most importantly, the other players themselves, go out of there way to make other players feel like you are the most important person in the world at that moment. The owners make it clear to the "regulars" who play; that every regular player is responsible for the well being of every other player. Woe to the regular player that does not live up to this creed - they will not be playing at Cowtown for very long.

The price to value proposition at Cowtown is unrivaled as well. You may bring your own paint or you may purchase quality paint at the field for a very reasonable price. Again, the goal of Cowtown is to make sure people have a good time, and it is reflected in their pricing structure.

There are several smaller things that make Cowtown unique; all designed to facilitate a tremendous customer experience: 1) A satisfaction guarantee policy 2) Very quick check in and check out 3) Multiple fields and 4) A "kids-only" field, to name a few. Most of these items (along with the bring your own paint option) are revolutionary and compteley unheard of at almost all fields across the country.

The rules of play are uniquely designed as well and constantly being refined to accomodate the changing needs of the attendees. For example, experienced players are absolutely forbidden to shoot more than one ball at a rental player, a new or inexperienced player, or a minor. Experienced players are permitted to exercise all their skills when playing against other experienced players. Players are required to chrono before each game. The surrender rule is in effect for experienced players who are matched against non-experienced players.

When you go to Cowtown, the place strikes you in a couple of ways. It appears chaotic, but it is organized chaos. Go with a positive attitude and you cannot help but have great fun. Appreciate the usual 100 kids that are all having a great time.Appreciate the way the owners are constantly checking on customer well being. Appreciate the ref staff for the way they keep everyone safe, fix equipment, and do it all with smiles on their faces. They really love paintball.

I have been going to Cowtown for several years now. It is simply the most fun you can have playing paintball.

This review is a very blatant attempt by Cowtown owners or somone involved with the field to try to repair an already poor reputation. To date none of the glaring problems with this field have been addressed let alone corrected. Problems like poor/disinterested/insufficient reffing staff, inoperable/malfunctioning chronograph, torn/incomplete field netting, and turning a blind eye to regular field attendees flagrant cheating and dishonorable conduct. And when told about these shortcommings the owners instead of corecting them will tell you not to return. Well I have given this field and the owners 2 oppourtunities to redeem themselves, and they chose to ask me not to return. I would not waste time or your hard earned dollars at this field

I don't know which Cowtown field you're talking about, but I know of only one. When i went, all the netting was very safe and safety on and off the field was strictly enforced. All the custom guns were made to chrono before each and every game-no exeptions. There concern is all about the kids and first timers coming out to have a good time.

There was no bias between regular players and 1st timers, the refs were very professional from the time they came onto the field untill the time they came off. Then, they helped kids fill their air tanks and helped them fix any issues with even their own custom guns. i could not ask for anything more for 35 dollars of all day play.

Agreed. I know they haven't changed their behavior, because a buddy from NM I was talking to when I was travelling to visit my parents went there in June and he was complaining that he had to leave at 2, because the field was being ran so poorly.

When I laughed and said, "I could have told you not to go there."

He asked me why I didn't warn him. I explained I didn't know he was going to be playing.

The field is just not ran safe and Bruce likes it that way.

happyballer is a plant, because it is the ONLY review he has written as is one of the few positive reviews in the last year.

I have been readiing the reviews on here and I knew we had problems and I did my very best to fix them though I always did have one major thing in my way, and that was my partner, I am Brian the One and only owner of cowtow paintball, I am willing to listen to any customer that has any sugestion for making improvements on my field, I have worked very hard since Bruce left to make alot of the changes that were absolutly need'ed, all the holes in the neting have been repaired or replaced, chronoing your gun every gun is required, I usally have no less than 4 to 7 reffs on the field at all times, Players are giving a safety briefing when they arrive, and before each game the rules are re-explained. we watch everyone as closely as we can to insure there is no over shooting, if it is cought we remove the player from the field emmidiatly there is no warning issued. I have no idea who wrote the post that everyone claims to be an attempt by cowtown to fix our tarnished reputation, and aftering reading it I thought the same thing, though I can assure you that things have changed and will continue to change for the better, I am puting alot of money into correcting the short comeings that we once experienced but I will make cowtown into something great, you have my word on it.
