There is a cousin's field. But who cares about cousin's?
Directions to the Field:
I came from NYC. Took Took sprain brook pkwy up to 84, then 84w to 10s. LEFT off the exit, down 3 miles then make a right at the sunoco. 4.6 miles down, and bear right at the fork, onto Plattekill Ardonia Rd. 2.7 miles down, make a right. You will see a sign for paintball. Down another mile, and make a left when you see the lake.
I came here for a private match yesterday with my boss, some of my friends and family. I had also come here for a walk-on day a few weeks ago. I have a new "home field".
Safety- They gave a safety speech to us. Not overbearing, but they kept on top of us. They allowed masks up until the start of the game. They were a little stricter on barrel condoms because of this. They were polite about it though.
Field- They are currently recovering from the previous owners of this field (cousin's). However, the fields they have are awesome. Something for every player. A city field. A complete woods field. A field with corrugated pipes, and a Normandy recreation. The last one may be leaving soon, as they said they were planning on scrapping and redoing that area. They also have an air-ball and x-ball field for all you speedball players.
Hours of Operation- Typical here. Walk-ons Sat and Sun, 9-5. Reservations whenever. They have speedball under the lights at some point, but I don't know when.
Prices- BYOP on open days. 45. FLAT. Enough said. But even their field paint prices are awesome. Own gear + case + all day air = 75ish. Field paint for when we played was Marbs.
Rules- The rules are really the same where ever you go. They do enforce the rules.
Services- One of, if not the best. Chris is the owner, and he's a player. So he knows what we want, and expect. And he delivers. A buddy of mine had a problem on a gun while we were there. He spent a few hours trying to get it up, fixed and tuned a number of issues, but in the end, was unable to get it back up due to a lack of materials. But the part wasn't something you would expect to find on a field. Which leads to...
Proshop- They have everything needed to play. They focus more on being a field then a proshop, so they don't have much more. But if you need something, talk to Chris, and he can order whatever you need, and work out a fair price.
Staff/Refs- One of our ref's was a no call/no show. But our ref was still great. An awesome personality, and very fair.
Players- When I went up for the walk-on day, I made a few friends, and there was really a great bunch of people.
Facilities- Pick a tree. There is also a port-a-potty. Works for me.
Food- Can order pizza, have some snacks and drinks on-hand. We brought our own stuff here.
My rating is a 10. Go they're, I'm sure most will agree. I know I'll be back. They are constantly working on their field to make sure its better and better.
They have big campaigns here as well, can't wait to check that out! Get the season pass! $150 for every walk-on day + every campaign + discounted paint? One of the best deal in paintball!!!
