Paintball World is a decent field, but lacks many things that could make a paintball field great. I'm just going to go through what it says to review here.
Safety: I feel like the safety was very, VERY minimal. The refs didn't require anyone to chronograph our guns when we got there and didn't show any of the renters how to turn on or operate the guns that they were given. Many times I saw people blatantly take off their masks on the way off and the refs just continued playing the game. The barrel sleeves were off most of the time and many accidental fires happened thankfully not hitting someone. The refs were probably like 12-15 and were very laid back but didn't really care.
Prices: The prices were great. 45 for a case of practice grade paint and 15 for entry is pretty nice and BYOP is an extra 6 dollars. I felt like this was the best part actually.
Rules and Service: Rules were very off the wall. The refs didn't really say anything I kind of had to take leadership and split up teams and tell people how the game goes for renters. I was with some friends who had never played so I was stuck with them throughout the day instead of playing with the UCF team and TK. The service was minimal. Nothing really required my service because I know my gun and equipment.
Proshop: There isn't even anything there. No guns for sale, four H8R T-Shirts from like 06', two pairs of Dye I4's and then a few pairs of Exalt Cleats. Then there were a few: I'm selling this equipment notes on the wall with numbers to call. Kind of sketchy...
The players were mostly all nice minus a few stuck up douche bags with surprisingly crappy gear. The worst part of the day was this kid shooting an SP Epiphany and he literally complained the whole day. There was a nice show of players but just one kid can ruin a day.
It's a good field. The two woodsball fields are fun to play and the X-Ball field was set up with World Cup layout because it's coming up this weekend. I had a lot of fun except that one of the doritos deflated after like 3 games.
Overall a good field. Maybe if they step up the refs and teach them how to actually work instead of sit on their ass, this field will get better. |
